Are you an HR professional who thrives on building strong teams while also leading workplace safety initiatives? We're looking for a hands-on HR Manager with EHS responsibilities for our plant in Peru, Illinois.
We are seeking candidates who want to make a real impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a unique opportunity to influence employee experience, strengthen compliance, and help create a culture where people and safety come first.

What You'll Do:
Human Resources:
  • Support full-cycle hourly recruiting, on-boarding, and orientation
  • Partner with leaders on employee relations and performance management
  • Assist with benefits, payroll support, and HRIS data management
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies

Environmental, Health & Safety:
  • Lead safety initiatives and promote a strong safety culture
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments
  • Ensure OSHA and environmental compliance
  • Maintain SDS documentation and EHS records
  • Investigate incidents and implement preventative measures
  • Deliver safety training (PPE, hazard communication, emergency response)

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Safety, Business, or related field
  • 3+ years HR experience (EHS exposure preferred)
  • Knowledge of employment laws (FMLA, FLSA, ADA, etc.)
  • Familiarity with OSHA and environmental compliance
  • Effective communication and employee engagement skills
  • HRIS and Microsoft Office proficiency - UKG experience preferred
  • SHRM-CP, OSHA 30, ASP, or GSP certifications a plus
