Position Summary:

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Student Social Media & Customer Service Assistant in Boca Raton, FL.

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Florida Atlantic University is seeking a creative, motivated, and dependable student to join our team for up to 20 hours per week. This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in social media marketing, communications, or digital content creation to gain hands-on experience while also providing exceptional customer service.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create engaging, original content for OLLI's social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.

  • Develop creative ideas to promote classes, events, and member activities.

  • Publish a minimum of two social media posts per week and help maintain a consistent posting schedule.

  • Capture photos and short videos of classes and special events for social media.

  • Monitor engagement and suggest new ideas to increase visibility and audience interaction.

  • Stay current with social media trends and recommend innovative ways to grow OLLI's online presence.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to OLLI members, visitors, faculty, and staff.

  • Greet patrons and assist with class registrations and general inquiries.

  • Answer incoming telephone calls professionally.

  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain electronic records.

  • Organize and scan office files and assist with other administrative duties as needed.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

FAU degree-seeking undergraduate student with a minimum of six credit hours (or twelve if international) and a 2.0 GPA.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential.

The ideal candidate is creative, organized, and interested in social media marketing or communications.

Experience with Facebook, Instagram, Canva, or similar platforms is preferred.

Salary:

$15.00 hourly.
