Job DescriptionWho we are looking for

We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support our Automotive Hub in Detroit - someone who is passionate about delivering a high-quality employee experience while building strong partnerships across the business to deliver results.

In this role, you will work closely with leaders and employees to support the full spectrum of HR activities, helping to drive organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and operational excellence. This is an ideal opportunity for an early-career HR professional looking to grow into a strategic HR role within a dynamic, innovation-driven environment.

What you will be responsible for

Business Partnership & Employee Experience

  • Serve as a trusted HR partner to employees and people leaders within the Detroit Automotive Hub
  • Support day-to-day HR needs while helping to enhance the overall employee experience
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, programs, and practices with a focus on consistency and fairness
  • Act as a connector between the hub and broader HR partners to ensure seamless support and communication.

Talent & Performance Enablement

  • Partner with managers to support performance management, development planning, and ongoing feedback practices
  • Contribute to talent discussions and help identify opportunities for employee growth and capability building
  • Support the execution of key talent processes, including performance cycles and organizational planning

Employee Relations & Workplace Culture

  • Assist in addressing employee relations matters, providing thoughtful, balanced support with guidance from senior HR partners
  • Promote a respectful, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture
  • Help foster open communication and proactive issue resolution

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure effective and consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and employment practices
  • Partner with HR Operations to support onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes
  • Maintain data accuracy and support reporting and compliance requirements

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Support

  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to support hiring efforts for the Detroit hub
  • Participate in interview and selection processes as needed
  • Support workforce planning and organizational changes in partnership with the business

Hub Leadership & Integration

  • Help convene and coordinate the Detroit leadership team around local priorities, initiatives, and hub-wide efforts.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for hub-specific needs, rhythms, and engagement opportunities.
  • Coordinate and help lead Bose Social Impact partnerships with local Detroit-area service organizations
  • Partner with leaders and employees to design and deliver hub culture initiatives that strengthen engagement, belonging, and connection.
  • Translate enterprise-wide engagement and culture strategies into meaningful, locally resonant experiences for Detroit employees.
