HR ASSISTANT 

Human Resources | Support Center 

COMPANY OVERVIEW 

Sizzling Platter is a restaurant management group operating more than 600 restaurants across the United States and Mexico. Founded in 1963, we have grown into a strong restaurant platform focused on scaling leading brands in outstanding markets. Our Support Center is located in Murray, Utah, and supports more than 11,000 team members across Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Sizzler Steakhouse, Dunkin’, Wingstop, Little Caesars, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Jamba, and Cinnabon. 

JOB OBJECTIVE 

The HR Assistant provides detail-oriented administrative and project support across HR operations, with a primary focus on ADP Workforce Now terminations, E-Verify, I-9 processing and training, and management of HR inboxes. The role also supports annual and ongoing HR communications, wellness and benefits initiatives, and other projects that arise as departmental and business needs evolve. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

ADP Workforce Now Terminations & HRIS Support 

  • Process employee terminations in ADP Workforce Now accurately, timely, and in compliance with established requirements. 
  • Maintain accurate employee records and supporting termination documentation within the HRIS. 

E-Verify & I-9 Processing 

  • Assist Operations with troubleshooting I-9 documentation for new hires in compliance with federal requirements. 
  • Manage and process E-Verify cases and provide guidance or training to managers and employees on I-9 and E-Verify requirements. 

HR Inbox & Administrative Support 

  • Manage HR inboxes, process intake for multiple departments, respond to routine inquiries, and escalate matters as appropriate. 
  • Provide general administrative support, including filing, data entry, document management, training coordination, and onboarding support. 

Communications, Benefits & Wellness Support 

  • Support the development, coordination, and execution of the annual HR Communications Plan and other ongoing communication projects. 
  • Coordinate and support wellness initiatives and activities, including scheduling, logistics, materials, participation outreach, and follow-up. 
  • Help increase awareness and engagement by creating, organizing, and distributing clear communications regarding wellness programs, benefits, enrollment activities, and available resources. 

Projects & General HR Support 

  • Support recurring, ad hoc, and cross-functional projects that arise, helping track deliverables, coordinate stakeholders, maintain documentation, and complete follow-up activities. 
  • Assist with other HR functions and initiatives as assigned, including recruitment, employee relations, process improvements, and department priorities. 
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee and business information. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred. 
  • 1–2 years of HR, administrative, communications, or project support experience preferred. 
  • Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now, E-Verify, and I-9 processing preferred. 
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. 
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor information for different audiences. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort learning HRIS and communication tools. 
  • Adaptability and willingness to take on new responsibilities as business and department needs evolve.
