Position: Human Resources Assistant (Part-Time)
Pay Rate: $27.00/hourly
Location: Livermore, CA

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 5–6 Hours Per Day

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly professional and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support daily HR operations in a confidential and fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for payroll processing, employee onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, and maintaining sensitive personnel records. The ideal candidate is trustworthy, organized, and demonstrates the highest level of discretion when handling confidential employee information.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and maintain employee personnel files and HR documentation.
  • Complete new hire onboarding and employment paperwork.
  • Process employee terminations and associated documentation.
  • Assist with annual open enrollment and employee benefits administration.
  • Support Annual ACA reporting and filing requirements.
  • Maintain accurate employee records while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Assist with HR compliance and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide administrative HR support.
  • Perform filing, data entry, and other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Handle sensitive employee matters with professionalism and discretion.

Qualifications

  • Previous Human Resources or Payroll experience preferred.
  • Experience processing payroll and maintaining confidential employee records.
  • Knowledge of onboarding, terminations, benefits administration, and HR best practices.
  • Familiarity with ACA reporting or benefits administration is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • High level of integrity with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
