Human Resources Manager, Multi Site
Compensation: $90,000-$100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications
Location: Bay Area, California
Schedule: Full-time | In-person based at SAGE Redwood City with regular travel to other Bay Area hospitals. Flexibility is required to support our 24/7 specialty and emergency hospitals as business needs dictate.
About the Role
Are you passionate about creating exceptional employee experiences and helping teams thrive? Ethos Veterinary Health is seeking an experienced Field Human Resources Manager to support our specialty and emergency veterinary hospitals throughout the Bay Area. In this role, you'll partner closely with hospital leadership to foster a positive workplace culture, provide strategic HR guidance, and support the continued growth and success of our teams.
What You'll Do
  • Serve as the primary HR partner for multiple Bay Area hospitals.
  • Partner with hospital leadership on employee relations, coaching, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, retention, engagement, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies.
  • Guide leaders through investigations, corrective actions, accommodations, leaves of absence, and policy interpretation.
  • Analyze workforce trends and recommend strategies that improve employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation, and HR Centers of Excellence.
  • Travel regularly throughout the Bay Area to provide onsite support and build strong relationships with hospital teams.
  • Maintain flexibility to support a 24/7 veterinary environment as business needs require.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or California HR Certification) preferred
  • Strong knowledge of California employment law and HR best practices. California HR Certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Bay Area.
