This position is located in Commerce City, CO with a schedule of 24 hours per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits, payroll, attendance, and HR policies; provide timely and accurate information or escalate as needed.
2. Address and document employee relations issues, serving as liaison in communication and conflict resolution.
3. Maintain HR files, records, and systems in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements; support audits as needed.
4. Assist with HR reporting, timekeeping reviews, policy updates, and other administrative tasks as assigned.
5. Assist with tracking training certifications, liaise with external DOT training vendors, enforce safety protocols, and support Plant Manager on regulatory matters (OSHA) compliance.
6. Provide recruitment support with scheduling and feedback, acting as a liaison between hiring managers, HR Manager and Connecticut HR team.
7. Partner with Payroll Specialist to ensure time-card submissions are timely and accurate.
8. Prepare and facilitate onboarding orientation, manage new hire paperwork, schedule mandatory safety training (PPE, chemical handling), ensuring compliance and oversee all onboarding documentation is accurate, complete and compliant in Paylocity HRIS.
9. Support performance review process, distribute bonus letters, and support salary benchmarking and administration.
10. Partner with Managers in safety training selections, scheduling, execution and documentation.
11. Support tasks related to employee discipline, involuntary terminations, performance improvement plans, employee claims, investigations and employee relations counseling under guidance of HR management.
12. Support HR initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture; assist with employee communication, documentation, and follow-up on HR-related concerns.
13. Plan, organize, and support company events, celebrations, and employee engagement activities; manage logistics, communication, and vendor coordination.
14. Other duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES/EXPERIENCE:
โ€ข Working knowledge of recruiting, onboarding, benefits, payroll and employee relations
โ€ข Understanding of basic employment law and compliance (FLSA, EEOC, ADA FMLA and state regulations
โ€ข Strong HRIS proficiency, data entry, audits, reports and employee records management
โ€ข Process oriented mindset with strong critical thinking abilities
โ€ข Ability to professionally interact with all levels of staff, maintaining high levels of confidentiality
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. โ€ข 3+ years of Human Resource experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
โ€ข Bachelor's degree or HR Certification, SHRM training
โ€ข Working knowledge of Colorado employment law, guidelines etc.
โ€ข Demonstrated proficiency with HR systems and technology including MS Office, HRIS and Payroll systems
โ€ข Strong communication skills, written and spoken
