Position Overview

Elevate is looking for a Human Resources Manager to join its Burlington manufacturing operation in Raeford, NC. The Raeford operation has been proudly producing dress uniform fabric for the US Military for more than 50 years. If you or someone you know has ever served in the US Military, whether in the Army, Air force, Coast Guard, Navy or Marines, they have worn Burlington Raeford fabric.

As Human Resources Manager you will participate as a member of the management team and will be responsible for leading all human resources initiatives including employee engagement and retention, recruiting, training and development, benefit administration, employee relations, compensation administration, safety and other areas as it relates to supporting and developing employees.ย 

You will be responsible for leading and developing positive employee relations and ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations.ย  You will provide coaching and mentoring to the management team and all employees to drive success and performance in line with business goals and the facilities performance against those goals.ย 

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, organizational development, psychology or other related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of successful experience as an HR generalist with management responsibility
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees across the organization.
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring and fostering positive employee relationships
  • Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations
  • Prior experience managing training and safety programs, preferred
