POSITION VISION

The Business Optimization Analyst is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and implementing opportunities to improve business performance, sales execution, operational efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction across Wright Beverage. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Supplier partners, this role leverages data analytics, business intelligence tools, and process improvement methodologies to drive fact-based decision making and sustainable growth.

The Business Optimization Analyst serves as a strategic business partner to the VP of Sales & Marketing by providing actionable insights, performance reporting, forecasting, and recommendations that enhance revenue growth, margin management, market execution, and overall organizational effectiveness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • I. ANALYZE SALES, DEPLETION, DISTRIBUTION, PRICING, AND PROFITABILITY DATA TO IDENTIFY TRENDS, RISKS, AND GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES.
  • II. DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN KPIS, DASHBOARDS, SCORECARDS, AND REPORTING TOOLS THAT SUPPORT BUSINESS OBJECTIVES.
  • III. MONITOR PERFORMANCE AGAINST ANNUAL BUSINESS PLANS, BUDGETS, SUPPLIER GOALS, AND STRATEGIC INITIATIVES.
  • IV. GENERATE RECURRING AND AD HOC ANALYTICAL REPORTS FOR EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP.
  • V. TRANSLATE COMPLEX DATA INTO ACTIONABLE BUSINESS RECOMMENDATIONS.
SALES & MARKETING OPTIMIZATION
  • I. EVALUATE SALES PERFORMANCE BY TERRITORY, ACCOUNT, BRAND, SUPPLIER, CHANNEL, AND SALES REPRESENTATIVE.
  • II. IDENTIFY OPPORTUNITIES TO IMPROVE MARKET PENETRATION, PRODUCT MIX, PROMOTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS, AND CUSTOMER PROFITABILITY.
  • III. SUPPORT ANNUAL PLANNING, SALES INCENTIVE PROGRAMS, AND MARKET DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES.
  • IV. ANALYZE PRICING STRATEGIES AND PROMOTIONAL ROI TO MAXIMIZE REVENUE AND PROFITABILITY.
  • V. ASSIST IN DEVELOPING DATA-DRIVEN SALES STRATEGIES AND CUSTOMER SEGMENTATION MODELS.
PROCESS IMPROVEMENT & BUSINESS OPTIMIZATION
  • I. ASSESS BUSINESS PROCESSES TO IDENTIFY INEFFICIENCIES, BOTTLENECKS, AND IMPROVEMENT OPPORTUNITIES.
  • II. LEAD AND/OR PARTICIPATE IN CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS ACROSS SALES, MARKETING, AND OPERATIONS.
  • III. DEVELOP RECOMMENDATIONS THAT IMPROVE PRODUCTIVITY, SERVICE LEVELS, AND OPERATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS.
  • IV. STANDARDIZE REPORTING AND BUSINESS PROCESSES TO IMPROVE CONSISTENCY AND DECISION-MAKING.
  • V. SUPPORT CHANGE MANAGEMENT INITIATIVES AND IMPLEMENTATION OF NEW BUSINESS PROCESSES.
STRATEGIC PLANNING & FORECASTING
  • I. ASSIST LEADERSHIP IN ANNUAL BUSINESS PLANNING, FORECASTING, AND BUDGETING ACTIVITIES.
  • II. BUILD FORECASTING MODELS THAT SUPPORT SUPPLIER PLANNING, INVENTORY MANAGEMENT, SALES GOALS, AND RESOURCE ALLOCATION.
  • III. EVALUATE MARKET TRENDS, COMPETITIVE ACTIVITY, AND EMERGING OPPORTUNITIES.
  • IV. CONDUCT SCENARIO PLANNING AND BUSINESS IMPACT ANALYSES TO SUPPORT STRATEGIC DECISIONS.
DATA MANAGEMENT & BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE
  • I. ENSURE DATA INTEGRITY ACROSS REPORTING PLATFORMS AND BUSINESS SYSTEMS.
  • II. UTILIZE ALL NECESSARY REPORTING TOOLS TO GATHER AND ANALYZE INFORMATION.
  • III. PARTNER WITH IT AND OTHER BUSINESS STAKEHOLDERS TO IMPROVE DATA ACCESSIBILITY AND REPORTING CAPABILITIES.
  • IV. SUPPORT THE IMPLEMENTATION AND OPTIMIZATION OF ANALYTICS PLATFORMS AND REPORTING TOOLS.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION
  • I. PARTNER WITH SALES, MARKETING, OPERATIONS, FINANCE, AND SUPPLIER REPRESENTATIVES TO ACHIEVE BUSINESS OBJECTIVES.
  • II. PRESENT FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS TO MANAGEMENT AND EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP.
  • III. SERVE AS A TRUSTED ADVISOR TO DEPARTMENT LEADERS REGARDING PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT OPPORTUNITIES.
  • IV. SUPPORT STRATEGIC PROJECTS AND INITIATIVES DIRECTED BY THE VP OF SALES & MARKETING.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Statistics, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Education: Preferred: Master's degree preferred.
  • Skills: Minimum: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms. Experience with CRM and ERP systems. Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities.
  • Skills: Preferred: Working knowledge of SQL and database reporting tools preferred. Experience with supplier reporting platforms and route accounting systems is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum: Experience within beverage distribution, consumer packaged goods (CPG), wholesale distribution, or related industries preferred. Demonstrated experience analyzing large datasets and developing actionable business insights.
  • Experience: Preferred: 3-7 years of experience in business analytics, sales operations, revenue management, business intelligence, or process improvement.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk; sit; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS

Expected to represent brands across all Wright territories. Must be comfortable interacting with retail accounts. Exposed to all weather conditions due to amount of travel associated with position. Ability to drive to branch locations on regular basis as required and ability to travel overnight for supplier meetings and conventions.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Must hold a valid, clean NYS driver’s license that is acceptable to our insurance carrier.
