The Human Resources Manager serves as a strategic business partner to leaders across corporate functions, aligning people strategies with business objectives to drive organizational performance. This role provides consultative HR leadership across organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, leadership coaching, and change management. By partnering with leaders to build organizational capability and develop high-performing teams, the Human Resources Manager helps create an engaged workforce that enables business success.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Strategic Business Partnership - Partner with business leaders to understand organizational priorities and develop people strategies that enable business objectives, organizational effectiveness, and sustainable growth.
  • Organizational Effectiveness - Partner with leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, change management, and team effectiveness initiatives that strengthen organizational capability.
  • Talent Management -Lead talent review and succession planning processes, identify talent risks and development opportunities, and partner with leaders to build strong leadership pipelines.
  • Employee Relations - Partner with leaders to proactively address employee relations matters, provide guidance on complex workplace issues, and mitigate organizational risk while fostering a respectful and high-performing work environment.
  • Leadership Coaching - Coach leaders on leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, performance management, and development planning to strengthen leadership capability.
  • Talent Acquisition - Partner with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition to develop recruiting strategies, support selection decisions, and ensure effective hiring and onboarding practices.
  • HR Programs & Enterprise Initiatives - Represent corporate functions on cross-functional HR initiatives and project teams by partnering with HR Centers of Excellence to design, implement, and continuously improve HR programs, processes, and technology. Serve as the voice of the business to ensure enterprise solutions meet organizational needs and drive successful adoption.
  • Employment Law & Compliance - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and HR practices while providing guidance on risk management and employment decisions.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field; Human Resources related certification such as a PHR or SHRM-CP is strongly preferred
  • 6+ years of progressive HR experience in a strategic HR Business Partner or Human Resources Manager role, partnering with business leaders to deliver people strategies that support organizational objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience advising leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, and change management initiatives.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align people strategies to business objectives and influence leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience coaching leaders through performance management, organizational change, and talent decisions.
  • Knowledge of talent management, succession planning, and leadership development practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of human resources related laws, regulations, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Proficiency in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and other human resources data tools. SuccessFactors experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work onsite in our Milwaukee or Chicago office
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time. Regular travel between our Milwaukee and Chicago offices (minimum 2 times per month) is required.

Hiring Range

At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $100,000 - 130,000. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
