In the role of Human Resources Generalist, we'll count on you to: 
 
  • Assist the Area HR Manager and area HR team with a variety of HR-related tasks
  • Use corporate systems to maintain employee records and process personnel actions
  • Coordinate and conduct new hire Onboarding and Offboarding as needed
  • Provide completed employee paperwork to corporate office
  • Review employee queries periodically for accuracy of information
  • Answer basic policy and procedure questions as needed
  • Assist with the coordination of professional development training for staff
  • Provide guidance to human resource assistants
  • Provide guidance to matrix business partners, and employees on Employee Relations matters.
  • Perform other duties as needed
Diversity and Inclusion
  • Focus on driving and supporting an inclusive work environment and on integrating diversity and equity into everyday business.
  • Assist with diversity, equity and inclusion functions and positive initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Understand basic HDR benefit plan provisions, in order to assist employees with benefit-related questions and issues and refer more complex questions to Area HR Manager.
Recruitment
  • Coordinate interviews as directed by HDR recruiting
  • Administratively track intern recruiting process from start to finish through to hire.

*A Valid US Driver's License is Required*

Preferred Qualifications 
 
  • Minimum 7 years experience preferred
  • Professional Services experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business, or related field
  • Willingness and ability to travel between various offices in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas 

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum three years related experience
  • Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication including proofreading, strong client service ability and excellent telephone skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and various managers in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and detail oriented
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
