ABEC is looking for a dynamic and strategic Human Resources Manager to join our growing team in Springfield, MO. In this role, you'll be a trusted advisor to leadership, a champion of our culture, and a key driver of people initiatives that support our rapid growth.

What You'll Do
Talent & Growth
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment-from headcount approval through onboarding-supporting a high-growth environment where hiring is a top priority
  • Develop and implement innovative retention and engagement strategies
  • Partner with leadership to identify talent needs and build workforce plans

HR Leadership & Strategy
  • Serve as a trusted partner to site leadership, providing expert guidance on HR best practices
  • Collaborate with Global HR to align local initiatives with enterprise-wide strategies
  • Analyze HR trends and metrics to drive data-informed decisions and continuous improvement

Employee Experience & Relations
  • Lead employee relations efforts with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture
  • Ensure employee concerns are addressed effectively and professionally

Learning & Development
  • Partner with L&D teams to design and deliver training programs
  • Help shape and execute learning strategies that support employee growth and organizational goals

Compliance & Operations
  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws, policies, and procedures
  • Oversee HR systems, benefits administration, and site-level HR processes
  • Manage Workers' Compensation and FMLA programs

Payroll & Administration
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
  • Oversee HR administrative functions and systems

Leadership Responsibilities
  • Coach, mentor, and develop a Human Resources Coordinator, Recruiter, and Payroll Coordinator
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency

Additional Responsibilities
  • Support Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives to promote a safe work environment

Requirements
  • 6 years general Human Resources experience, with a minimum of 2 years as a Human Resource Manager or Human Resources Business Partner.
  • Experience leading and developing direct reports.
  • Prior industrial relations experience.
  • A background in manufacturing preferred.
  • A confident self-starter with the ability to work on their own initiative.
  • Sound knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Excellent organization, relationship building and influencing skills.
  • Technical proficiency including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications & HRIS (Paylocity experience a plus).
  • Payroll experience a plus.
  • Awareness of and prior experience with implementing Continuous Improvement (CI) a plus.
  • Prior Lean/Six Sigma experience a plus
