Job Description:

Job Summary

This position will support several programs in the School of Health Sciences. These programs in SHS, specifically the Sports Medicine minor, Exercise Science major, Health Sciences major, and the Health and Human Performance master's degree, have some overlap of teaching responsibilities of the prior faculty member. This position has provided integral foundational and inter-professional coursework for students preparing for graduate degrees in athletic training, physical therapy, and health and human performance. The School of Health Sciences programs align with SU's strategic plan and goals, including Enriching Academic Success and Student Development.

Authority and Accountability

This position will report to the Director of the School of Health Sciences, will have no direct reports, and have limited budgetary responsibility and authority.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in athletic training or human movement
  • A minimum of two years of professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • University teaching experience
  • Candidate should be eligible for certification or licensure within a program in the School of Health Sciences
  • Experience providing effective teaching strategies which enhance the success of diverse learners and has innovative teaching approaches

The position is a full-time, exempt state role with comprehensive benefits.
