The Role
The HR Generalist is a key member of the Human Resources team, responsible for delivering high-quality support across core HR functions. This role manages critical administrative processes, fosters a positive employee experience through onboarding and engagement initiatives. The HR Generalist acts as a trusted resource for employees and contributes to building a strong, inclusive workplace culture and ensures compliance with employment laws.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HRIS and related systems.
  • Prepare and maintain HR reports and metrics for leadership decision-making.
  • Partner to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour regulations, leave administration, and workplace postings.
  • Assist with internal audits and regulatory reporting.
  • Support policy updates and communicate changes effectively to employees.
  • Serve as a primary initial point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Provide clear, timely, and professional responses to employees while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Escalate complex issues to HR leadership as appropriate.
  • Coordinate and lead new hire orientation sessions to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Manage onboarding documentation and ensure compliance with all required forms and processes.
  • Partner with managers to deliver a positive and engaging employee experience.
  • Organize and execute recognition programs and employee engagement activities.
  • Support the development of creative initiatives to foster inclusion, collaboration, and morale.
  • Maintain working knowledge of benefits administration and HR systems.
  • Stay current on HR trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to recommend process improvements.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of HR experience with exposure to multiple HR disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of Human Resources practices and principles.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace.
