ABOUT SLOOMOO


Sloomoo celebrates joy through an interactive experiential world, focused on slime, hands-on play, and all things #satisfying. Sloomoo launched in October of 2019 with an immersive 12,000 square-foot experience in Soho, NYC, where hand-crafted, artisanal slime (dozens of textures and the most delicious scents), soothing ASMR, and wondrous delights (you can slingshot slime, walk on slime, design your own slime, and more) converge with glossy, contemporary design.


Sloomoo’s universe has expanded - there are now a total of 5 Institutes (NYC, LA, Houston, Chicago, Atlanta) and two MiniMoos (Boston, Philadelphia) with more to come.


MiniMoos are smaller than the Institutes but packed with as much color, surprise, and play.


The brand has been featured in People Magazine, Vogue, the Today Show, the Kelly Clarkson Show, the Tamron Hall Show, Forbes, INC, and more.

Position Summary

The Mixer plays a vital role at Sloomoo Inc., responsible for preparing and mixing slime for various exhibits, events, and guest experiences. This role combines creativity, customer service, and product knowledge to deliver high-quality, enjoyable slime experiences that captivate visitors.

You will be key to upholding Sloomoo’s values:

Responsibilities:
  • Slime Preparation: Mix and prepare different types of slime according to Sloomoo’s recipes and specifications. Ensure consistency, texture, and quality of the slime products.

  • Exhibit Support: assist in setting up and maintaining slime-related exhibits and installations. Help to ensure that all materials are stocked and ready for visitor engagement.

  • Quality Control: Regularly inspect slime supplies for quality and safety, ensuring all materials meet institute standards. Troubleshoot and address any issues with slime consistency or guest satisfaction.

  • Event Assistance: Support in organizing slime-making events, workshops, and special activities. Provide hands-on support for groups and ensure smooth execution of events.

  • Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols when handling materials and equipment. Ensure that guests can interact with Slime in a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment.

  • Tracking a log of the number of batches, clays, scents, pigments (raw materials) properly.

  • Tracking Slime materials daily/weekly and filling out the proper sheets/logs.

  • Ensuring and checking the experience slimes, conduct Routine Checks of slimes throughout the exhibit to ensure quality, texture and presentation.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs regularly throughout the shift.

  • Perform physically demanding production tasks including pushing, pulling, and moving heavy materials and equipment.

  • Remain on feet for extended periods in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Maintain constant movement between workstations to support workflow efficiency.

  • Assist with transporting bulk ingredients, slime batches, and production supplies safely and efficiently.

  • Support overall warehouse-style and hands-on manufacturing operations requiring stamina and strength.

  • Ability to safely climb a ladder to access and retrieve Products stored at height.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. A love for creativity and tactile experiences is a plus.

  • Ability to follow specific slime recipes and instructions with precision to achieve high-quality products. A keen eye for presentation and cleanliness is essential.

  • Comfortable working with hands-on materials, lifting boxes or supplies, and standing for extended periods.

  • Minimum age: 18 years.
