Flex HR is a fast-growing HR outsourcing company based in Alpharetta, GA, right outside of Atlantaย with a sub location in Chicago, IL.ย We work with companies in a variety of industries to help them manage their human resources and payroll.ย We are a team of professionals who consistently provide our clients with white-glove customer service. We combine experienced HR Managers, Payroll Managers, Consultants, Recruiters, and leading payroll platforms into tailored solutions for each client.ย 

Job Summary:ย 

We areย seekingย a dynamic, experienced professional for a unique dual-function role at Flex HR. In this position, you will divide your time equally between two critical areas: HR Management and Business Development. As an HR Manager, you will serve as the primary HR partner for a portfolio of Flex HR clients, providing daily operational HR support, compliance guidance, and white-glove employee service. As a Business Development Manager, you will manage the full inbound sales process โ€” from the moment aย lead arrivesย toย the moment a signed agreement is in hand.ย 

This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who is energized by client relationships, comfortable in a consultative sales environment, and excited to contribute to Flex HR's growth while doing meaningful HR work. You willย be responsible forย bothย retainingย and delighting current clients and bringing in new ones.ย 

Job Responsibilities:ย 

HR Management โ€” 50% of Role:ย 

  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for an assigned portfolio of Flex HR clients and their employeesย 

  • Manage theย completeย new hire onboarding process including offer letters, HRIS/payroll platform onboarding, and benefits orientationย 

  • Support benefits enrollment, HSA/FSA changes, 401(k) rollovers, loans, and distribution requests for client employeesย 

  • Coach client managers through Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), conflict resolution, and employee relations issuesย 

  • Assistย clients with employee terminations including state-required forms, separation documents, and witness support on termination callsย 

  • Lead quarterly reviews for assigned clients and conduct virtual office hours to provide ongoing HR support to client employeesย 

  • Administer workers' compensation claims and ensure client compliance with labor laws and multi-state regulationsย 

  • Complete periodic audits, monthly benefits reconciliations, andย maintainย accurateย client recordsย 

  • Coordinate employee recognition activities including monthly birthday updates and annual anniversary celebrationsย 

  • Foster a positive workplace environment for clients throughย strong communicationย and conflict resolution supportย 

  • Act as liaison between departments to resolve client and employee issues promptly and professionallyย 

  • Work across multipleย payrollย and HRIS platforms includingย Netchex, Paylocity, Gusto, ADP, Paychex, and othersย 

  • Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in all client and employee interactionsย 

  • Maintain a willingness to take onย additionalย responsibilities as assigned by managementย 

Business Development โ€” 50% of Role:ย 

  • Respond to inbound leads from the Flex HR website and phone system withinย 30 minutes during business hoursย 

  • Conduct structured discovery calls to uncover each prospect's HR and payroll pain points, employee count, current platform, benefits structure, and implementation timelineย 

  • Qualify leads using BANT criteria โ€” Budget, Authority, Need, and Timeline โ€” and prioritize your pipeline accordinglyย 

  • Build and send customized proposals within one business day of each discovery call, combining Flex HR services tailored to each client's specific needsย 

  • Manage the full sales pipeline in HubSpot โ€” creating andย maintainingย Contact, Company, and Deal records after every interactionย 

  • Execute a consistent follow-up cadence and move deals forward through each HubSpot pipeline stageย 

  • Manage the post-close process includingย file management, and client hand-off to the delivery teamย 

  • Recognize and escalate fraudulent inquiries, underfunded prospects, and leads unlikely to be a good long-term fit for Flex HRย

Job Requirements:ย 

  • 4-6ย years of HR management experience, preferably in an outsourced or consulting capacity supporting multiple clients simultaneouslyย 

  • Demonstrated experience inย B2Bย sales orย account managementย role, ideally in professional services, HR, or payrollย 

  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, multi-state compliance, and HR operationsย 

  • Excellent consultative communication and interpersonal skillsย 

  • Ability to manage a full sales cycle from first contact through signed agreementย 

  • Experience with CRM platforms, preferably HubSpot โ€” consistent andย timelyย logging is non-negotiableย 

  • Proficiencyย working across multipleย HRIS platformsย 

  • Strong organizational skills โ€” you manage competing priorities across both client delivery and business development without losing momentum in eitherย 

  • Ability to handle sensitive employee and client information confidentially and professionallyย 

  • Willย demonstrateย confidence and ability to handle a wide variety of situations with strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and exceptional problem-solving skillsย 

  • Ability to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality and exceptional serviceย 

  • Familiarity with payroll platforms such asย Netchex, Paylocity, Gusto, ADP, Paychex, Paycom, Paycor, orย Ripplingย is highly desirableย 

  • A minimum of an associate's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience (a plus)ย 

  • SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus.ย
