Job description

We're looking for a tech-savvy UI/UX intern to join our Product Design & Development team. You'll design AI-powered platforms featuring real-time dashboards, card-based interfaces, and dark-mode-first design systems. Qualified candidates will work Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week.

Minimum Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field

Proficiency in Figma including Auto-Layout, Components, Variants, and Interactive Prototyping; experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus

Understanding of conditional logic and variables in design tools (Figma variables, component properties, prototype states)

Hands-on experience with AI-powered design tools such as Figma AI features, Uizard, Galileo AI, v0.dev, or Adobe Firefly

Ability to design for data-dense, real-time interfaces - dashboards with live-updating cards, charts, alert systems, and multi-panel layouts

Understanding of dark-mode UI patterns and card-based modular architectures

Solid understanding of HTML/CSS; familiarity with how Angular components are structured for accurate design-to-dev handoff

Effective analytical and visual thinker with strong communication skills for presenting design rationale to stakeholders

Responsibilities

Participate in all phases of the design process: research, wireframing, high-fidelity mockups, prototyping, and developer handoff

Design and iterate on card-based dashboard components, real-time data surfaces, and AI-driven interaction patterns

Design for real-time environments: loading states, refresh indicators, urgency color systems, and alert hierarchies

Contribute to a living design system with reusable components, design tokens, icon guidelines, and micro-animation specs

Present design ideas to stakeholders with clear rationale and supporting evidence; participate in peer design critiques

Produce developer-ready handoff specs with redlines, spacing tokens, and interaction annotations

Stay current on AI design plugins and generative tools; bring new techniques to the team's workflow

Bonus Skills

Experience with glassmorphism, layered transparency, or premium depth effects in UI design

Motion design skills (Lottie, Rive, After Effects, or CSS animation) for micro-interactions

Prior exposure to fintech, trading platforms, or data-intensive enterprise dashboards

Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards, especially for dark-mode and data visualization

Experience with design system tooling (Storybook, Style Dictionary, design token management)

Experience with prompt engineering for design-related LLMs or AI code generation tools

Portfolio showcasing data-heavy or dashboard-focused design work

Dates: Monday, June 1st to Friday, August 7th (10 weeks)

Students with F-1 visas should consult with their designated school official (DSO) before applying.
