Job description

About the Company

You may be more qualified for a career in insurance than you think. Some of the strongest people in this industry did not begin their careers in financial services. They came from sales, restaurants, hospitality, customer service, retail, healthcare, real estate, recruiting, call centers, management, and other careers where they learned how to communicate with people, solve problems, stay organized, and take responsibility for results. CGH Group is looking for motivated professionals who are ready to take those transferable skills and build a new career. Previous insurance experience is not required. We can help guide qualified candidates through the licensing process and provide the training, systems, technology, mentorship, and support needed to learn the business. CGH Group is led by Tanya and Michael Hughes. Tanya entered the insurance industry as a stay at home mother raising six children and went on to become one of the top producing sales agents in the country with Equis Financial. Her career is proof that where you start does not have to determine where you finish.

About the Role

WHAT YOU WILL ACTUALLY DO Once properly licensed, you will:

  • Speak with prospective clients by phone or video
  • Work with clients who are looking for information about financial protection
  • Ask questions to understand their goals, family situation, budget, and existing coverage
  • Review appropriate insurance solutions from multiple carriers
  • Run quotes
  • Explain available options clearly and professionally
  • Help clients make informed coverage decisions
  • Complete and submit applications
  • Follow cases through underwriting and placement
  • Maintain communication throughout the application process
  • Build long term client relationships
  • Manage appointments, follow up, and your sales pipeline
  • Build and own your book of business

Responsibilities

A CAREER CHANGE WITHOUT STARTING FROM ZERO Changing industries does not mean the experience you already have disappears. If you have spent years working with customers, managing relationships, selling products or services, handling difficult conversations, solving problems, following up, or managing your own responsibilities, you already have skills that can transfer into this business. CGH Group teaches you the insurance side. You bring the work ethic, communication skills, professionalism, coachability, and willingness to learn.

Qualifications

WHAT WE PROVIDE CGH Group provides new agents with access to:

  • Guidance through the licensing process
  • Daily live training
  • Ongoing professional development
  • Proven sales scripts and processes
  • CRM and technology resources
  • Access to multiple insurance carriers
  • Multiple product solutions
  • Underwriting and case support
  • Coaching and mentorship
  • Direct access to experienced agents
  • Training from top producing professionals
  • Systems designed for remote insurance sales
  • Leadership development opportunities
  • Support as you build your book of business

Required Skills

MORE THAN ONE PRODUCT AND ONE CARRIER CGH Group operates through an independent model with access to multiple carriers and financial protection solutions. Depending on licensing and product availability, agents may work with solutions including:

  • Life insurance
  • Mortgage protection
  • Final expense
  • Medicare
  • Annuities
  • Retirement solutions

Having access to multiple carriers allows agents to evaluate different options rather than being limited to a single company or product line.

Preferred Skills

COMPENSATION AND GROWTH CGH Group offers compensation that is well above the industry standard. The compensation structure is designed to reward production and gives agents the ability to increase their income as their skills, consistency, and production grow. Agents may also have access to:

  • Uncapped earning potential
  • Strong production based bonus opportunities
  • Residual income potential
  • Ownership of their book of business
  • Multiple carrier access
  • Leadership opportunities
  • Team building opportunities

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity. The compensation range shown represents estimated annual production based earnings rather than a guaranteed salary or hourly wage. Actual earnings vary based on activity, consistency, production, placement, and individual performance.

Pay range and compensation package

SEE THE ACTUAL NUMBERS We do not want to simply tell candidates there is strong earning potential. We built an income calculator so you can review real production scenarios and understand how different levels of production may translate into compensation. https://www.cgh.agency/ The examples shown are based on production and are not guaranteed earnings. Actual results depend on activity, consistency, production, placement, and individual performance.

Equal Opportunity Statement

FROM STAY AT HOME MOM TO TOP PRODUCER Tanya Hughes did not begin her career as an established insurance professional. She started as a stay at home mother raising six children. She went on to become one of the top producing sales agents in the country with Equis Financial. That experience shapes how CGH Group develops new agents. You are not expected to enter the business already knowing how to sell insurance, navigate underwriting, compare carriers, or manage cases. The goal is to provide the training, mentorship, technology, systems, carrier access, and support needed to help you develop those skills.

Who We Are Looking For

You do not need previous insurance experience. This opportunity may be a strong fit if you:

  • Are ready for a professional career change
  • Want the flexibility of working remotely
  • Are willing to obtain a life insurance license
  • Have experience working directly with customers or clients
  • Communicate confidently
  • Listen well and ask good questions
  • Are comfortable speaking with clients by phone or video
  • Are self motivated
  • Can manage your time independently
  • Follow up consistently
