Description
Briljent is looking for a Health Strategy & Innovation (HSI) Senior Consultant. The HSI Senior Consultant will work with a team to plan and implement solutions related to HIT and other innovations in health care administration. Consultants provide subject matter and business expertise to organizations, often providing project specific support to meet a particular goal or deliverable. Healthcare information consultants may be focused on specific areas such as pre-sales consulting, business process analysis, implementation or change management.
Essential Duties:
  • As assigned by the Director of HSI Consulting Services, lead or assist with face-to-face meetings with clients to introduce Briljent services, identify current and future needs, and provide input to the client statement of work
  • Provide assistance with the RFP response process as requested
  • Provides subject matter expertise in the area of Health Information Technology (HIT) to both internal team members and external clients that solve problems and improve outcomes.
  • Supports internal and external customers with training and knowledge sharing of HSI national landscape best practices and new procedures as needed.
  • Understands the importance of qualitative measures and consider the impact on end users, patients and customers.
  • Maintains a level of professional engagement and continuing education to guide the organization and customers on future trends and technology requirements.
  • Work with the HIT Project Management Consultant to advise and guide external clients on the plans and implementation of project solutions
  • Facilitate action and change as appropriate to achieve project success
  • Impart knowledge of improvement process with team leaders. Identify barriers to implementing practice improvement plans and develop strategy to overcome these barriers
  • Provide assistance in maintaining team utilization reports, achieving monthly, quarterly and annual goals related to revenue, net income, etc.
  • Assist in the development of project outcome measurements and the development of communication plans. Develop analytic and measurement strategy for all projects undertaken including the development of key metrics, identification of data sources and collection of baseline data

Education and Experience:
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Information Management, Health Information Technology, Health Administration, Information Systems, or a related field of health informatics
  • 7+ years' experience in a business or healthcare consultant role
  • 5+ years of experience must be in a client, forward-facing, communication lead role
  • Relevant certifications (Informatics, Project Management, Microsoft or other technical certifications as appropriate).
  • Working knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, industry trends and best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of larger collaborative team.
