GFX COO - Business Manager, HSBC Bank USA N.A., New York, NY:
Support the Americas FX, EM Rates and Commodities COO, covering aspects of business analytics, business planning, project delivery tracking and business performance management. Ensure ongoing effective management of the business. Responsible for business development and strategy, supporting growth of the products across the region. Implementing a cross-regional operating model, working closely with trading, sales and global business managers. Delivering new products as required by the business, obtain internal new product approvals, and oversee technical delivery to support the products. Identifying opportunities to enhance the commodity products to meet customer needs, through partnership with sales and visits with clients where appropriate. Work with support areas to improve client experience and drive client efficiency. Responsible for the Operational Risk governance and control for the region. Ensuring that GFX are compliant with bank regulations, driving solutions with internal support teams to reduce operational risk. Representing the region in the monthly Business Control Committee and other required forums and Americas business during internal and external audits. Working closely with internal support areas to ensure the right level of support is provided to the front office. Assisting desk head duties such as driving efficiency, cost management, desk moves, and new sales/trader onboarding. Managing delivery of various internal functions through regular interaction, ensuring that the right level of support is provided to the product.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week. Pay Range: $204,326.00 to $214,326.00 per year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce or a related field and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience.
Must have 6 years of experience in:
  • Operational risk management and control frameworks within a financial institution, including identifying operational risks, implementing controls, and supporting compliance activities related to trading or financial products.
  • Business analytics and business planning in a financial services environment, including analyzing performance metrics, tracking initiatives or projects, and supporting business planning or growth initiatives.
  • Product or initiative delivery in a financial institution, including coordinating with multiple internal stakeholders (such as trading, sales, technology, or operations teams) to support implementation, approvals, or rollout of new or enhanced products or services.
  • Regulatory and audit support, including assisting with compliance requirements, preparing materials for internal or external audits, and participating in governance or control forums within a regulated financial services environment.
  • Financial services industry, including exposure to business, operational, or management support functions related to financial products such as foreign exchange, commodities, or fixed income.

Must have 2 years of experience in:
  • Identifying, evaluating, and implementing technology-driven solutions, including artificial intelligence (AI) and automation.
