What does an HSA Account Manager do?

An HSA Account Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) on behalf of individuals or organizations. Their duties include assisting clients with account setup, answering questions about HSA regulations, ensuring compliance with IRS guidelines, and helping clients maximize the benefits of their HSAs. They may also provide support with contributions, distributions, and reporting, while educating clients about eligible expenses. The goal of an HSA Account Manager is to help clients effectively use their health savings accounts for qualified medical expenses.

What skills and qualifications are needed to be an HSA Account Manager?

To thrive as an HSA Account Manager, you need a solid understanding of health savings accounts, financial services regulations, and account management, often supported by a bachelor's degree in finance or a related field. Familiarity with HSA administration platforms, CRM systems, and compliance software is typically required.
