HR Specialist - Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
Position Summary
The HR Specialist responsible for supporting the company's recruitment efforts while providing general Human Resources support to employees and management. This position serves as a point of contact throughout the hiring process, partnering with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, develop effective recruitment strategies, attract qualified candidates, coordinate interviews, and support candidates through the selection and onboarding process.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, highly responsive, and comfortable managing multiple open positions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position will play an important role in strengthening PMX Industries' recruiting efforts, expanding candidate pipelines, improving the candidate experience, and promoting PMX as an employer of choice.
Primary Responsibilities
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
  • Lead and manage the full recruitment process for assigned positions, from requisition through offer and onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, position requirements, qualifications, and hiring priorities.
  • Develop and maintain effective job descriptions and job postings that accurately reflect position responsibilities and attract qualified candidates.
  • Develop and implement creative sourcing strategies to build strong, diverse, and qualified candidate pools.
  • Utilize a variety of recruiting resources, including applicant tracking systems, job boards, social media, employee referrals, direct sourcing, community organizations, staffing partners, schools, and other recruitment resources.
  • Identify opportunities to expand and improve PMX's recruiting reach and employer brand.
  • Proactively source candidates for difficult-to-fill positions.
  • Review and screen applications and resumes to determine candidate qualifications and alignment with position requirements.
  • Conduct initial phone screens and make recommendations to hiring managers regarding candidate qualifications.
  • Coordinate candidate interviews, including scheduling with candidates, hiring managers, and other interview participants.
  • Maintain timely and professional communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Provide hiring managers with regular updates regarding candidate activity, applicant pools, interviews, and recruiting challenges.
  • Assist hiring managers in evaluating candidates and making informed hiring decisions.
  • Coordinate the offer process, including preparing employment offers and completing required pre-employment steps.
  • Maintain accurate and timely recruiting records in the HRMS and applicant tracking system.
  • Ensure recruitment and selection practices comply with applicable federal and state employment laws, company policies, and affirmative action/equal employment opportunity requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with schools, colleges, workforce development organizations, community partners, staffing agencies, and other external recruiting resources.
  • Coordinate and attend career fairs, hiring events, community events, school events, and other recruiting activities.
  • Continuously evaluate recruiting methods and recommend new approaches to improve the quantity and quality of applicants.
  • Support employee referral programs and other internal recruiting initiatives.
  • Help strengthen PMX's employment brand by promoting the company's culture, career opportunities, benefits, and manufacturing environment.

HR & Employee Support
  • Maintain accurate employee and applicant information within the HRMS and other applicable HR systems.
  • Assist with onboarding and new employee orientation activities.
  • Support employee training programs and coordinate training activities as assigned.
  • Assist with performance management processes, including distribution and tracking of performance review and training materials.
  • Provide professional and timely customer service to employees, applicants, supervisors, and managers.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee, applicant, compensation, and other sensitive HR information.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources department.
  • Perform other HR-related duties and special projects as assigned.

Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures and work in a manner that protects yourself and others from hazards and injuries.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies related to recruitment and employment practices.
  • Ensure required recruiting and employment documentation is completed accurately and maintained appropriately.

Education & Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources and/or recruiting experience, with significant responsibility for recruitment and candidate sourcing.
  • Previous high-volume recruiting experience strongly preferred, particularly in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment.
  • Experience managing multiple open positions and competing recruiting priorities.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and/or HR information systems - UKG or similar
  • Experience conducting resume reviews, phone screens, and candidate screens.
  • Experience developing job postings and utilizing multiple recruiting sources.
  • Experience with career fairs, community recruiting, school partnerships, or other talent acquisition activities preferred.

Work Environment
  • Primarily an office environment with regular interaction with employees, applicants, candidates, hiring managers, and external recruiting partners.
  • Regular interaction with the manufacturing environment may be required for recruiting activities, employee events, facility tours, and other HR responsibilities.
  • Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and following all applicable safety requirements.

Work Schedule
  • Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
