Job description

Overview

The Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) Data Analyst partners with leaders in the HR, IT and Payroll departments to solve business needs and support the current HRIS solutions. The Analyst manages and optimizes HR software solutions and processes, ensuring accurate employee data and generating reports and dashboards. Timekeeping and Attendance Management will be a major focus of this role, but knowledge of Core HR and Payroll systems will be required. This person should be able to translate business objectives and user needs into clearly written technical requirements and implement these requirements into existing systems or assist in choosing additional point solutions that help solve these business problems.

The HRIS Data Analyst is the point of contact for questions regarding the HRIS, the go-to subject matter expert for the systems used in the HR/Payroll (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, UKG and Visier). This role reports directly to the Manager, HRIS.

Responsibilities

The HRIS Data Analyst leads the required maintenance, support, and training of the HR Systems within the company:

  • Conducts data quality audits and new starts interface to ensure accurate information

  • Serves as first level of support for HR Operations at all locations for the HR Systems

  • Creates and maintains training documentation and manages the execution of end user training

  • Responsible for performing general analytics and statistical modeling on existing data sets in various areas of HR

  • Partners with internal stakeholders to develop technology solutions that help to streamline and automate HR processes

  • Works with HR, Finance and IT to maintain and improve the HRIS, including configuration, end-user access, security, reporting and system efficiency

  • Supports critical system maintenance and operational tasks within the HRIS to ensure accurate pay for employees

  • Troubleshoots, make configuration changes, and works with Motrex IT and ADP & UKG Helpdesk on issues

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field (e.g., Information Technology, Human Resources, Business, etc.) coupled with 3+ years of experience in HR systems.

  • Experience with HRIS and Payroll systems, preferably ADP Workforce Now, UKG Pro Timekeeping, iCIMS and Visier

  • Experience using HR analytics, dashboards and reporting to identify key insights to support the business

  • Strong time management, attention to detail, interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Competencies

The HRIS Data Analyst should demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated use of advanced Excel functions (e.g., XLOOKUP, IF, MATCH)

  • Detail oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy

  • Project Management and facilitation skills

  • Ability to collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Leads, and IT team to resolve issues and ensuring solutions are viable and consistent

  • Conduct regular reviews of systems and generate reports on efficiencies and improvement areas

  • Structure and prioritize business requirements and consistently communicate plans to stakeholders for review and approval

  • Demonstrated leadership and the ability to provide exceptional client service

Knowledge

The HRIS Data Analyst should have in-depth knowledge and experience of the following:

  • Proven experience in process and systems analysis

  • Solid understanding of HR/Payroll business processes

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Experience within the manufacturing and distribution industry is a plus

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now, UKG Dimensions

Environment & Physical Demands

  • This position requires you to be on site 5 days a week at the Alpharetta, GA headquarters location.
  • Work will be performed in an office environment.
  • Sitting, standing, walking, bending and twisting as necessary.

Travel

  • Occasional travel may be necessary to fulfill business needs and support various projects and initiatives.
