Job Title: Human Resources Director/HRBP

Location: Germantown MD-onsite

Job Summary:
The HR Director / HRBP will serve as a strategic partner to leadership, responsible for building and scaling HR infrastructure that supports business growth, technical talent acquisition, and organizational effectiveness. This role combines hands-on execution with high-level strategy across compensation, performance management, workforce planning, and employee engagement

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with executive leadership to align HR strategy with business goals (growth, contracts, product development)
  • Translate business needs into workforce planning (headcount, skills, org design)
  • Act as a trusted advisor on organizational structure, leadership effectiveness, and team performance
  • Support scaling efforts while maintaining company culture
  • Design and implement competitive compensation frameworks for engineering and corporate roles
  • Benchmark salaries against DMV tech + defense market
  • Base salary structures and leveling
  • Bonus programs (performance-based, company-based, milestone-driven)
  • Incentive plans aligned with revenue, contracts, or product delivery
  • Partner with finance on budgeting and compensation planning cycles
  • Ensure internal equity and external competitiveness
  • Build and roll out a formal performance review process
  • Drive a high-performance culture while maintaining engagement
  • Evaluate and implement HR systems (HRIS, ATS, performance tools)
  • Create scalable policies and documentation

Qualifications:

  • S. Citizenship required
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3+ years in a strategic HRBP or leadership role
  • Experience with Tech, engineering, or GovCon environments
  • Proven ability to partner with senior leadership
  • Experience supporting employees in a federal government contracting environment
  • Familiarity with federal HR compliance requirements, including I-9, EEO, and related regulations
  • Understanding of government contracting requirements and the ability to support employees in navigating related policies and procedures
  • Experience working in a cleared facility or supporting cleared personnel
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including creating reports and presentations
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
