This Sr Associate position plays a critical role in keeping all members of the Risk & Audit HR Consulting team informed of our partner strategies, annual calendar, and process elements for day-to-day activities the team manages. They will share best practices from other Lines of Business as they connect with other horizontal and client-facing HRBP, plus partner teams. This role is responsible for assisting teammates on miscellaneous reporting and coordination to help the team run as effectively as possible.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Interacting with partner groups, stakeholders, and HR Business Partners to keep all informed, well-managed, and consistent in their processes
  • Data collection, analysis, reporting, and process improvements
  • Project or process coordination and activity monitoring / auditing
  • Other miscellaneous - deck building, communications, answering stakeholder questions regarding our processes or systems, etc.
  • Support for Cyclical HR Processes: Assist with the execution of cyclical HR processes such as performance management, talent management cycles, and organizational surveys by tracking timelines and facilitating communications.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with specialized HR teams (e.g., Recruiting, Compensation, and Learning & Development) to support the implementation of talent strategies and provide a smooth experience for our associates.
  • Data-Driven Consulting: Assist in gathering and analyzing data to help identify trends and support the team in making informed decisions about talent strategy.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain clear communication and effective working relationships with business leaders and partner groups to ensure HR initiatives are well-coordinated and aligned with organizational needs.

Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 1 year of experience in Human Resources
  • At least 1 year of experience in Project Management or at least 1 year of experience in Process Management

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Professional Human Resources Certification or Project Management Professional Certification
  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources
  • 2+ years of experience in Project or Process Management

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $96,500 - $110,100 for Sr. Associate, HR Business Partner
Richmond, VA: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Associate, HR Business Partner
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
