Job description

Established in 1981, Rainbow Restoration offers home and commercial restoration emergency services. We also provide carpet cleaning and construction services with over 400 locations worldwide. As a Estimator/Project Manager, you are responsible for leading a team of service professionals in completing projects by a set deadline to uphold business initiatives. Your duties include estimating, budgeting and management of different project aspects and advocating for additional funding when necessary. Hiring freelance professionals or selecting project team members from existing departments and setting or adjusting project schedules to adhere to deadlines. Over the course of a project, the you will need to communicate with staff and clients, make decisions and monitor the progress of the project to keep it on schedule.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
  • Delegating tasks on the project to team members best positioned to complete them
  • Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
  • Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
  • Communicating with customers to keep the project aligned with their goals
  • Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
  • Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change
  • Communicate with customers about scope of work and review necessary paperwork
  • Establish and maintain a schedule to ensure all services are delivered in a timely manner

  • Maintain company assets (equipment, vehicles, etc.) keeping them clean, properly maintained and fully stocked to be available at all times
  • Perform marketing tasks to sell additional services or develop additional business as required
  • Perform other duties as required. These duties may include job functions that are outside the scope of normal job duties

Job Requirements:

  • We are a 24-hour emergency service company, and all team members are required to be on-call and respond when needed
  • Valid Driver's License

  • Advanced smart phone and tablet computer literacy, with working knowledge of work processing, business software applications
  • Advanced computer literacy with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project) and other computer software
  • Ability to learn new computer software
  • Experience in Xactware software would be helpful, but not mandatory
  • Restoration and construction experience helpful, but not required
  • Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
  • Willing to train supporting team members (stewardship)
  • Career minded mentality planning for future positions/ownership, not just looking for a job for today.

Compensation:

  • Competitive Pay ($14.50-$25+ Hour):
  • Service Technician (entry level/minimal experience): $14.50-$15.50 Hr.
  • Service Technician 1: $15.50-$17 Hr.
  • Service Technician 2: $17-$18 Hr.
  • Service Technician 3: $18-$22 Hr.
  • Lead Service Technician: $22+ Hr.
  • Estimator: $18+ Hr.
  • Field Operations Manager: $24+ Hr.
