Job description

Job Title: Residential Program Manager
Must be willing to work at least one weekend shift.
Pay: $23.75/hr.

This position is responsible for the operation of a residential program. This includes scheduling and supervising Direct Support Professionals and providing individuals with quality residential services. Responsibilities include all aspects of the program operation, such as budgeting, monitoring the health and safety of individuals, supporting the individuals according to their person-centered plan, and following medical and behavior plans. The position provides 24 X 7 X 365-day program oversight with on-call responsibilities for one week every six weeks.
What you will do:
  • Works with their management team to establish ground rules and objectives with time frames regarding the facility for which they are responsible.
  • Organizes the work into manageable activities, assigns the work with due dates, and follows up to promote timely completion of assignments.
  • Maintains the behaviors of a positive role model for colleagues, staff, and clients. Follows up in a timely manner on all requests for information and completes all commitments made.
  • Supports clients in progressing toward their "Personal Centered Support Plan" and "behavior support plan." This requires giving input into the development of the plan, including writing and submitting support strategies, familiarization with the final plan, and daily adherence to, implementation of, and documentation of plan adherence.
  • Implements the physicians medical and medication plan by knowing and positively enforcing adherence to the medical and medication protocol plans.
  • Designs, implements and monitors (on a daily basis) a plan for the cleanliness and maintenance of each client's home.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of a positive cultural change plan, including identifying and promoting positive "stories" about the organization.
  • Communicates personal constructive feedback and comments directly to the other person and avoids triangulating any communication
  • Accounts for all receipts of money, including home account and petty cash. Assists clients in spending money appropriately, documents expenditures, and balances accounts.
  • Performs all required client care duties in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Work with Rep-Payee to coordinate housing and financial assistance.
  • Willing and able to work with a diverse workforce.

What you will need to succeed:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study is preferred.
Three to five years of progressive, more complex responsible in delivering social services or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Two to three years of experience working in a residential setting is required.
Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record
Must pass a pre-employment criminal background and then annually thereafter
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Be able to drive a vehicle
Have basic computer and software skills
