    Psychiatrist

    $140/hr

    Program: Mental Health Group Homes

    Location: New Castle County ( Wilmington, DE)

    Status: Full-Time - 40 hours

    Schedule: M-F 8a-4p

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    The Psychiatrist provides psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management for adults with serious and persistent mental illness residing in Conexio Care’s licensed mental health group homes. This role supports resident stability, continuity of care, and reduced hospitalization through collaborative, recovery‑oriented psychiatric services.


    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Direct Clinical Duties

    • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow‑up visits
    • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
    • Monitor medication effectiveness and side effects
    • Provide on‑site psychiatric services at group homes
    • Collaborate with nursing, residential, and clinical staff
    • Support crisis response and hospital transitions
    • Participate in involuntary medication hearings as needed
    • Coordinate care with hospitals and medical providers
    • Document services in the electronic health record
    • Utilize MAT when clinically appropriate

    REQUIREMENTS

    Licensure & Regulatory

    • Authorized psychiatric prescriber in Delaware
    • Active, unrestricted license and DEA registration
    • Compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards

    Physician Pathway

    • MD or DO
    • Completed psychiatry residency
    • Board‑certified or board‑eligible


    Experience

    • 2+ years as a psychiatric prescriber preferred
    • Experience with SPMI and co‑occurring disorders
    • Residential or community mental health experience preferred

    ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

    • Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a residential setting
    • Crisis management skills
    • EHR proficiency
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Ability to meet physical and travel demands of group home visits
