High Performance Materials & Components (HPMC) is generating approximately $2.5 billion in annual revenue. The segment is comprised of Specialty Materials (SM) and Forged Products (FP).

ATI is currently seeking a Senior Director, Operational Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our Corporate Finance organization. Reporting to the Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), this role serves as the primary finance partner supporting ATI's High Performance Materials & Components (HPMC) segment, comprised of our Specialty Materials and Forged Products businesses.

This strategic finance leader will partner closely with business unit finance and operational leadership to drive financial performance, enhance decision-making, and execute key strategic initiatives across the HPMC portfolio. The role is responsible for leading operational forecasting, annual operating plans, long-range strategic planning, capital investment analysis, and performance management while identifying opportunities to improve profitability, working capital, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in operational finance, business planning, and manufacturing finance, along with a proven ability to influence executive stakeholders in complex, multi-site manufacturing environments. This highly visible leader will collaborate across Corporate Finance and the HPMC finance teams to standardize processes, improve financial insights, and support enterprise-wide decision making.

Preferred Locations:Dallas TX (ATI Corporate), Monroe NC (Specialty Materials) or Milwaukee WI (Forged Products).


Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Corporate Finance leader supporting ATI's High Performance Materials & Components (HPMC) segment, partnering closely with Specialty Materials and Forged Products leadership.
  • Travel up to 60% during the first year to develop a deep understanding of operations, build relationships across manufacturing sites, and drive financial performance. Ongoing travel is expected to average approximately 40%.
  • Leverage internal and external data to analyze financial performance, identify trends, assess business risks, and uncover opportunities that support ATI's strategic objectives.
  • Lead operational forecasting, annual budgeting, long-range planning, and multi-year strategic financial planning processes.
  • Review significant growth initiatives, capital investments, long-term commercial agreements, and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly income statement, cash flow, and operational performance forecasts.
  • Develop executive-level presentations and financial analyses for senior leadership and Board-level discussions.
  • Ensure delivery of financial commitments while driving standardization, process improvements, and enhanced financial reporting capabilities.
  • Perform capital expenditure analyses and investment evaluations to support strategic decision making.
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to evaluate business performance, investment opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead consolidation of annual operating plans and five-year strategic plans across the HPMC segment.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes, reporting, forecasting, and analytical capabilities.
  • Lead or support special projects and enterprise initiatives requiring financial leadership and business partnership.
  • Influence and mentor finance professionals across the business, promoting collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.
  • Implement change management and continuous improvement across the finance organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience across FP&A, operational finance, strategic finance, or business finance leadership within complex manufacturing organizations.
  • Demonstrated success supporting multiple manufacturing sites or business units in a matrixed environment.
