Job Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Sales Account Manager to lead strategic growth across national retail/foodservice chains customers. This role will focus on building and managing high-impact relationships with key accounts that value quality, innovation, and partnership. The ideal candidate will bring a disciplined, insights-driven approach to selling, with a passion for premium food solutions and a deep understanding of the food service landscape.

The What's expected from This Role:
The Sales Account Manager reports to President and is accountable for creating compelling selling tools and using them to support to grow Grocery, Natural, and Alt Channels business. Key accountabilities will include preparing custom category selling materials across accounts for category reviews, frequently presenting these materials internally and externally (including traveling to customer meetings), and becoming the subject matter expert on the retail landscape for the accounts you support.
In This Role, You Will Focus On:

Category Management: Grocery, Alt, & Natural Channels
  - Support our Regional Grocery, Natural Independents, and Alt Channels business.
  - Analyze syndicated data to support strategic selling initiatives and develop impactful insights that meet category and retailer-specific needs.
  - Employ category management tools to develop customized solutions for distribution space, assortment, and planogram recommendations.
  - Create and present account-specific category reviews providing unbiased analysis, interpretation, and recommendations for improving category performance.
  - Craft robust fact-based selling stories utilizing syndicated data, retailer-specific POS data, panel data, shopper-card data, and other research.
  - Articulate category trends and understand the performance of all accounts.
  - Provide monthly scorecards and business updates to drive accountability and engagement across our broker teams.
Special Projects & Initiatives
  - Support the development and implementation of comprehensive category strategies, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  - Support project work as requested by the Leadership Teams.
Responsibilities 
  • Own and grow a portfolio of national retail/foodservice accounts
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with customer goals and company objectives
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing strategy, and promotional planning
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and value-added solution provider across the customer's supply chain
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, Operations, Finance) to ensure seamless execution and alignment
  • Leverage internal resources to support customer needs and drive process improvements
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and customer insights to inform strategy
  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the development of the sales pipeline
  • Product focus on expanding and growing product lines with branded products 
  • Create and maintain actionable database for customer contact/sand opportunity history and selling activities (Hubspot)
Education, Qualities and Skills Required:
  • BS/BA required in a relevant field such as marketing or business administration.
  • 5+ years sales experience in the Nut Butter(Alternative) and frozen sandwiches or Similar food industry; food service experience a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of SPINS, IRI, Nielsen, Panel Data, and Loyalty card data.
  • Proven track record to grow business and an ability to handle financial dealings with large customer accounts
  •  Up to 50% travel required: Although this role is a remote work-from-home position, we do meet as a company and  anticipate travel to support retailer meetings.
  • Deep understanding of foodservice distribution, menu development, and supply chain dynamics
  • Genuine passion for improving childhood nutrition for a healthier kids and families.
  • Comfortable in fast paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Highly curious/motivated for learning
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of how to develop client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions

Compensation:
  • Salaried, Full-Time.
  • The anticipated salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$120,000.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a few factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses, stipends, and role-specific perks.
