Job description

SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the area of assignment has sufficient supplies, linen and cleaning chemicals available for Room Attendants.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and a minimum of six months related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position involves driving a company vehicle and/or company insured vehicle.  A valid driver’s license is required, along with successful completion of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and annual MVRs, according to company guidelines.  Follow safe, defensive driving practices at all times, obey all traffic laws, regulations, signals and markings, use a seat belt, and follow Company policies and procedures, including the Substance Abuse Policy. Never drive while under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medications that may impair your ability to operate a vehicle safely, report any accidents immediately and cooperate fully with insurance claims investigations.
  • Vacuum hallways and stairwells.
  • Pull furniture in guestrooms and all VIP arrivals, vacuum under each piece, and return furniture to original position.  Use edge vacuum for corners, tops of drapes, fire sprinklers and other hard to reach areas.  Complete 10 rooms in hotel and /or 5 condos per week.
  • Move furniture within and in and out of areas as needed.
  • Wash windows.
  • Clean baseboards in hallways.
  • Remove all dirty linen and trash from work area and condo vans.
  • Maintain stock in linen rooms/vehicles of linen, cleaning supplies and guest amenities.
  • Maintain, clean and empty all vacuum cleaners in assigned areas on a daily basis.
  • Empty ashurns, clean outside of urn, clean sand and replace sand as needed.
  • Spot clean carpet and remove stains.
  • Transport departmental employees as necessary.

Regularly required to stand for long periods of time or walk for extended periods and/or lift up to 50 pounds.  Ability to walk, sit, smell and hear.  Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, kneel, crouch and /or feel and reach with hands and arms.  Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and have the ability to focus on small objects.
