Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor

Department:Housekeeping

Supervision Exercised: Room Attendants, Public Area Attendants, and House Attendants.

Supervision Received:Director of Housekeeping

Job Summary: The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily housekeeping operations, ensuring guest rooms and public areas meet cleanliness and brand standards. This role supports staff training, inspections, supply control, and efficient departmental operations while maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction and integrity.

Job Duties include the following:

Leadership, Operations & Support:

  • Oversee the responsibilities of the Housekeeping Department including Room Cleaning, Public Area Cleaning, Laundry & Guest laundry services.

  • Maintain high standards in all aspects of internal and external service

  • Promote unity and teamwork throughout the department.

  • Actively participate in all aspects of housekeeping operations, including Room cleaning, Room inspections, deep cleaning, Laundry and Public areas.

  • Communicate with guests in a professional, courteous and helpful manner.

  • Supervise Housekeeping teams to maximize the guest experience, exceed expectations and efficiently complete daily departmental objectives.

  • Support environmental commitments by having the knowledge, skills and values to be a leader in the global goal of "greening" the hospitality industry.

  • Regularly inspects rooms and public areas.

  • Regularly clean and or strip rooms as needed to support the operations.

Assists Administrative & Communication:

  • Prepare shift reports including trace reports: review special service request, VIPs, other.

  • Communicate effectively with other departments (e.g., housekeeping, engineering, F&B) to ensure guest needs are met utilizing tools like Quore, Outlook, Hotel Radios to communicate.

  • Assist in inventory control and ordering of housekeeping supplies, works with Executive Housekeeper for final approval.

  • Supervises performance, attendance, appearance and conduct of staff.

  • Respond to Guest Experience Reviews and Surveys.

  • Creates and ensures daily completion of staff checklists and necessary reports.

  • Always maintains a professional appearance and attitude.

  • Always maintains a professional relationship with all associates. Equal and fair.

  • Good communication with staff, managers and direct supervisor.

  • Ensures proper follow ups on special projects.

  • Coaches and counsels staff with the support of the Executive Housekeeper.

  • Delegates assignments as needed to ensure operational needs are met.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of one (1) year of hotel supervisory experience preferably within a Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt or other hotel brand.

  • Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Must have exceptional customer service skills.
