Job Responsibilities

As a Housekeeping Inspector, you will be responsible for the overall cleanliness of the building, ensuring cleanliness standards are met through inspection of all areas.
Your specific duties in this role will include:
โ€ขย Conduct opening procedures and distribute work assignments.
โ€ขย Inspect all assigned guestrooms ensuring that each room meets the hotel's cleanliness standards and that there is efficient stock and positioning of all guestroom amenities and supplies.
โ€ขย Check all fixtures, equipment and room conditions (television, radio, lights, heating/cooling, furniture, wallpaper, etc.) for proper operation, settings and maintenance.ย  Report any deficiencies.
โ€ขย Communicate to Housekeeper any cleaning deficiencies found during inspection and ensure corrections are made.
โ€ขย Update guestroom status in Property Management System.
โ€ข Assist in training of all housekeeping associates.
โ€ขย Assist Housekeepers in cleaning of guest rooms as needed.
โ€ขย Ensure all housekeeping storage closets have proper supply levels, organization and cleanliness.
โ€ขย Ensure all Lost and Found articles are logged and stored properly.
โ€ขย Ensure hallways are kept clear of trash, soiled linen, cribs, rollaways and other guest service equipment.
โ€ขย Perform housekeeper duties as needed or assigned.
โ€ขย Assist with month end reporting and inventories.
โ€ขย Assist in department meetings, i.e. developing agenda, presenting

Job Requirements

We are looking for a self-motivated Housekeeping Inspectorย with a strong work ethic and a drive to exceed expectations. It is also important that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to establish rapport with guests and colleagues.

Specific qualifications for the role include:

โ€ขย 1 to 3 months related experience in housekeeping
โ€ขย High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
โ€ขย Solid organizational, time-management and prioritization skills
โ€ขย Exceptional customer service skills
