Collegiate Hotel Group, is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join the Graduate by Hilton Ann Arbor and its brilliant team of hospitality enthusiasts

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Schedules room and cleaning assignments to ensure propercoverage
  • Performs all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming,and cleaning
  • Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms throughout theshift
  • Randomly selects assigned rooms to ensure cleanliness and inspects them to verify brand standards are being met.
  • Coach, counsel, and provide corrective action to housekeeping associates on performance not meeting expectations and discrepancies found in rooms
  • Notifies GM and/or Chief Engineer of maintenance repairsnecessaryin rooms or on property
  • Interviews, hires, develops, and disciplines directemployees
  • Perform property walk and report identified deficiencies
  • Participates in scheduling employees to business demands and tracking employee time andattendance
  • Supervises staffing levels to ensure that guestservice, operational needs, and financial objectives are met
  • Manages Housekeeping inventory, ensuring that team has dedicated tools, supplies, and resources to complete assigned tasks and work.
  • Other duties asassigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma/GED. Post high school education preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years inhousekeeping leadership experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Basic mathskills
  • HMSand/or experience using a property management system (PMS)
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and inwriting
  • Strong leadershipskills
