We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Aide (HA) that provides cleaning services to ensure a safe, sanitary, comfortable, and homelike environment for residents, staff, and others. Housekeeping services must follow facility policies and procedures and are consistent with state and federal laws and regulations.

Essential Duties:

  • Clean assigned resident apartments, bathrooms, and common areas daily and according to community policy while maintaining resident privacy and respecting their property
  • Keep utility and storage rooms clean and orderly
  • Post signs indicating a safety hazard any time housekeeping activities pose environmental hazards to staff, residents, visitors, or others
  • Use personal protective equipment when at risk of exposure to blood or other potentially hazardous body fluids in accordance with facility policies and procedures
  • Comply with all safety instructions and procedures when using chemicals, referring to labels and Material Safety Data Sheets for instructions
  • Keep all chemicals and cleaning supplies in their original containers, ask supervisor if unsure about usage
  • Monitor the workplace for safety and fire hazards and correct or report potential problem
  • Report housekeeping and maintenance problems, including equipment breakdowns, to the supervisor
  • Secure housekeeping supplies so that residents are unable to access

Education/ Experience Requirements:

  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is a plus
  • Excellent organizational, time-management and computer skills
  • Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
  • Understand and uphold the policies and procedures established by TCSL
  • Work independently, maintain confidentiality and professionalism, and be a positive leader
  • Demonstrate practical interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills
  • Maintain good working relationships with residents and co-workers
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds and bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and reach and sit for long periods
  • Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned
