Job Title: Professional Family Support & Household Manager
Location: Leawood, Kansas 66206
Employment Type: Part-Time 20-30 hours
Schedule
  • 3-4 weekdays per week
    • Specific days are flexible and will be coordinated with the family
    • Schedule may occasionally shift based on family needs, guest visits, or travel preparation
    • Occasional evening support (such as date nights) is appreciated but not the primary focus of the role

Compensation: $25-$30 per hour (commensurate with experience)

About Our Family
We are a warm, active family of four (soon to be five!). Our home is lively and full of energy, with two young children currently in preschool programs during the week and another little one arriving soon. We also love to travel when we can, especially during the summer months, and enjoy bringing the kids along for new experiences and adventures.
One parent works full-time with a schedule that can occasionally includes evening and weekend commitments, while the other manages the day-to-day rhythm of the household.
Our home runs best when things are organized, systems are in place, and everyone is working together to keep things moving smoothly. We value kindness, good communication, and a positive atmosphere. While life can feel busy and sometimes a bit chaotic, our home is always centered around family time, learning, and creating meaningful experiences together.

  • Enjoys baking and contributing to a warm, welcoming kitchen environment
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus but not required

Key Responsibilities
Family Support (Core Weekly Priority)
  • Assist with school pick-ups or drop-offs when needed
  • Prepare backpacks, snacks, and daily items for children's activities
  • Provide light supervision, playtime, or backup childcare as needed
  • Help maintain organization for children's clothing, gear, and seasonal items
  • Occasionally assist with packing or unpacking for family travel
  • Willing to join family travel if needed to provide childcare support

Household Organization & Maintenance
  • Maintain organization systems for closets, toys, pantry, and common household spaces
  • Reset and tidy main living areas to keep the home running smoothly day to day (load and unload dishwasher, wipe surfaces, and vacuum high-traffic areas as needed).
  • Assist with preparing the home for guests and occasional family gatherings
  • Supervise service providers when needed (cleaners, maintenance professionals, etc.)
  • Help maintain simple systems for seasonal clothing swaps and children's items

Inventory & Errands
  • Track and restock pantry, refrigerator, toiletries, and household essentials
  • Maintain running supply lists and assist with household ordering (Amazon, Target, Costco, etc.)
  • Grocery shop and assist with food supply management
  • Run occasional errands such as returns, dry cleaning, or gift purchases
  • Bring in mail and packages and keep deliveries organized

Meal Support
  • Plan and prepare healthy meals for the family during the week
  • Pack school lunches and prepare simple snacks for children
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness after cooking or food prep
  • Assist with baking or occasional treats for the household

Laundry & Linens
  • Wash, dry, fold, and organize children's laundry
  • Iron or steam clothing as needed
  • Rotate bedding and refresh towels when needed
  • Maintain tidy laundry areas and ensure supplies remain stocked

Deep Cleaning & Special Projects
  • Assist with occasional deep cleaning projects such as refrigerator or appliance clean-outs
  • Maintain specific home zones such as entryways, mudroom, and play areas
  • Clean and maintain household items like humidifiers and appliances as needed
  • Help organize toys, seasonal décor, or storage areas during special projects
  • Ensure the family vehicle is clean, organized, and ready for daily use
