Job description

Benefits/Perks
  • Hourly base wage plus excellent tip potential (historically generous average).
  • Flexible Scheduling.
  • Employee discounts on food and shift meals.
  • Opportunity to work in a community-focused, independent environment.
Job Summary

We are looking for versatile and driven Bartenders / Front of House Specialists to join our team. We are a gastropub with a dive bar soul—we care deeply about the quality of our craft beer, cocktails, and a la carte menu, but we deliver it all with a laid-back, welcoming attitude. In this role, you are the face of the business. You will act as a bartender, server, and host, often managing the floor independently or alongside one other team member. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in maintaining a spotless workspace, and understands that excellent hospitality extends from pouring a great drink to greeting guests at the door.
Responsibilities

  • Provide full-service hospitality, including greeting patrons, taking food and drink orders, and making menu recommendations.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of craft beers, wines, and classic cocktails with precision and care.
  • Verify identification to confirm patrons are of legal drinking age and strictly follow all state and federal laws for serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Operate the POS system accurately, manage tabs, and process payments.
  • Actively monitor bar and front-of-house inventory, immediately reporting low stock or needed supplies to management (Note: You will not be responsible for placing orders, but proactive communication is required).
  • Execute meticulous daily opening, running, and closing sidework.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the entire shift. This includes wiping tables, sweeping/mopping, emptying FOH trash and recycling bins, and fully cleaning and restocking the guest restrooms.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must possess (or obtain immediately upon hire) all current state-required food handler and responsible beverage service certifications.
  • Previous experience in bartending, serving, or front-of-house hospitality is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work efficiently and responsibly on your own, as well as smoothly alongside a partner during peak hours.
  • A strong "team player" mentality with a willingness to tackle all necessary FOH tasks without being prompted.
  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to multitask (e.g., carrying on a conversation with a regular while building a drink and keeping an eye on the door).
