Job Summary

Pittsburgh, PA | Sewickley

• Start Date: As soon as the perfect fit is found, even open to a fall start date
• Hours: Monday or Tuesday & Friday, 9 am – 6 pm | 18 hours guaranteed
• Hourly Rate: $26-32

• Children: 2-year-old and 10-month-old
• Pets: Golden Retriever
• Paid Vacation: 18 hours family’s choice and 18 hours nanny’s choice, 1-2 major holidays

Responsibilities and Duties

• WHO/WHAT:  Calm over chaos. Connection over screens. Intention in the everyday. If that sounds like your kind of environment, keep reading. This thoughtful Sewickley family is raising two little ones: a confident, playful toddler and a happy, easygoing baby with a focus on rhythm, simplicity, and emotional security. Their home is rooted in intention. They value a calm, organized environment, predictable routines, and a lifestyle centered around connection, creativity, and time outdoors. You’ll spend your days letting the kids roam and play outside, because fresh air and nature are a big part of how this family resets and recharges. On Tuesdays, Mom will be present and tag-teaming care for the kids with you, while Fridays are more dedicated to her work, both in a separate office and out of the home.

  At home, the focus shifts to slower, meaningful play with puzzles, art projects, pretend kitchens, and cozy reading time. This is a low-technology household where imagination, conversation, and connection take center stage. The toddler brings a fearless, silly, and independent spirit to each day. She loves the playground, thrives with structure, and keeps things fun. The baby is happy, observant, and just starting to explore the world (often right behind his big sister). Experience with both toddlers and infants and an understanding of their developmental needs is essential.

  Child-related tasks include laundry, bottles, light tidying (keeping spaces reset), simple meal prep, and occasional help with their sweet Golden Retriever (feeding dinner + a short walk). Mom is organized, proactive, and values a home that runs with calm efficiency. This is a family that cares deeply about how their home feels.

The Ideal Nanny IS…CALM, CAPABLE, AND INTENTIONAL. You bring a calm, steady presence into the home and children naturally feel safe and seen with you. You’re nurturing, emotionally intelligent, and understand how to balance structure with flexibility. You’re organized and reliable, but not rigid. You can follow a rhythm, anticipate needs, and keep things running smoothly without losing the ability to be playful, creative, and present in the moment.

You value a healthy lifestyle and are aligned with a home that prioritizes whole foods, outdoor time, and minimal screen use. You enjoy planning simple, enriching activities and don’t rely on constant stimulation to keep children engaged. You’re proactive and take initiative, noticing when bottles need to be restocked, when the playroom needs to be reset, or when a child might need a snack before they melt down. You communicate clearly, show up on time, and take pride in being dependable.

This family is hoping to find someone who wants to grow with them for years to come and is looking for someone who sees this as more than a job and, instead, as a meaningful role in childrens’ early lives. Must be open to signing an NDA for privacy. Montessori experience and/or Spanish-speaking is not required, but a big plus. Requirements and Benefits

• Nanny must have a driver's license, vehicle, and a clean driving record

• Nanny MUST have previous nanny experience for a minimum of 2 years.
