Job Summary:

The ePayments Analyst I provides timely technical and administrative support to the ePayments team, ePayments management, and bank business units and customers. These functions include the after set up support of Treasury Services and Commercial customers' products such as ACH, domestic wires, business cross border payments, consumer remittance transfers, Fed Funds, Remote Deposit, and Electronic Cash Letter (ECL). The position supports and handles research, follow up on issues, and error resolution. The role supports the ePayments Specialists with daily and processing support and verifications. The ePayments Analyst I will also work on departmental as well as corporate wide projects as a subject matter expert. They are responsible for creating, reviewing, and submitting for approval the policies and procedures within and for the ePayments team.

Primary Functions and/or Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates the research, reporting, and resolution of issues reported for assigned ePayment functions & proposes system and procedure changes as needed to prevent future issues, improve functions, or improve services. Leads, monitors, evaluates, and documents all relevant Issue Management items for the ePayments team. Escalates unresolved issues, including all relevant details, to appropriate individuals, departments, and/or vendors until resolution.
  • Provides post set up support for customers using ePayments services such as ACH origination, wire transfer, remittance transfers, Remote Deposit, ECL, and Fed Funds and provides backup support to the ePayments call center
  • Acts as second tier of support for cross border Fedwire and SWIFT wire transfers (incoming and outgoing) and as a backup for research and issues to the Global Payments Officers. Assists Specialists with customers to determine the most direct path to the beneficiary on payments, as well as review against, Primary Concern Countries list, AML, as well as feasibly identifies possible fraud.
  • Conducts assigned tasks including completing daily, monthly, quarterly, and annually required checklists and processes. Retains appropriate approvals and documentation.
  • Researches and provides documentation and/or reporting as requested for audit or exam purposes.
  • Identifies and suggests changes to or new content for procedures for new and existing products including departmental disaster recovery scripts.
  • Serves as subject matter expert on departmental as well as EPMO corporate-wide projects
  • Assists ePayments staff with issues, research requests, workload, vendor relations, etc. to ensure timely and accurate processing. Provides verification to transactions or documents as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including serving on committees and participating in product advisory board calls as applicable and completing requested tasks assigned by the Managers of the team.
Education and/or Experience:
  • College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • At least two years of experience in Bank Operations, project coordination or similar financial functions required
Specific Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a time sensitive environment
  • Understanding of bank operations
  • Understanding of financial institutions, payment processing flows (especially electronic payments), and the financial networks for processing
  • Working knowledge of Banking/Financial Institution regulatory requirements
  • Ability to communicate and relate to people from varying relationships (i.e. personal and business), varying levels of understanding, and varying levels of positions
  • Ability to understand, use, monitor, and evaluate varying types of computer systems and programs
  • Knowledgeable on federal regulations regarding exporting goods (ie, OFAC, EAR, BIS Anti-boycott, OFAC, AML) as well as those of other countries as well as rules and regulations regarding the processing of electronic payments, including but not limited to the NACHA Operating Rules, Regulation E, the Green Book, UCC4a and Federal Reserve Operating Circulars. Keep up to date with all domestic and international wire transfer rules and regulations, ACH Payment flows and formats, and ECL and Remote Deposit Capture processes.
Hiring Salary Range

The hiring range below reflects targeted base salary. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s prior related experience & education and will be finalized at the time of offer. In addition to base salary, most positions are also eligible to participate in our annual bonus program. Select positions may also be eligible to earn incentives and/or commissions. Hiring Salary Range: $55,600 - $68,000 plus annual bonus.
