Job Description MES Super User - Erlanger, KYThis is a non-exempt, salary-level rolePosition SummaryThe MES Super User serves as the site level technical subject matter expert of the MES, providing daily tactical technical support on the shop floor as related to the MES and its connectivity to the ERP and shop floor equipment.This position will play a key role in the testing, training, deployment, troubleshooting and sustainment of the MES.This person operates at the intersection of Operations, Engineering, Quality, GT, OT, and external MES partners.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesImplementation and System ExpansionSupport MES implementation activities including design validation, testing, training, deployment, hypercare and sustainmentParticipate in future ERP integration planning and transition readinessEnsure new processes, equipment, and workflows are MES enabled prior to go liveAssist with the modification and development of SOPs and documentation as related to MESSupport MES related Management of Change (MOC) activitiesManage data integrity issues between Batch Metrics and MAPICS.Technical Support and Issue ResolutionAssist operators in learning and mastering MES transactions and functionalities, as well as assistance in ERP as appropriateProvide daily tactical support for MES transactions, hardware, and connectivity issuesTroubleshoot issues across MES, ERP, and shop floor equipment including scales, scanners, and workstationsAct as the first escalation point for MES related functional issuesCoordinate with GT, OT, and external MES partner to resolve system issues.This includes following established escalation protocolsProcess Optimization and Continuous ImprovementDrive adoption of MES as the standard execution platformMonitor and reinforce proper system usageAnalyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to leverage MES functionalityReduce manual processes and ERP dependency on the shop floorSupport site leadership in the development and tracking of KPIs and Reports that can be generated from MESDrive standardization of execution processes across departmentsCross Functional CollaborationSupport the liaison between Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Inventory, Engineering, GT, OT, and MES vendorsCoordinate troubleshooting and system improvements across teamsCommunicate system changes and impacts clearly to all stakeholdersTrain/develop SMEs, shift leads and supervisors to become more self-reliant as related to transaction/system troubleshootingAuthority and AccountabilityDocumentation of MES related issue resolution and improvementsRecommend and coordinate system and process changesRecommend when and what work can proceed using ERP if MES is downEnforce standard MES usage practicesQualificationsEducation:High School Diploma or equivalentExperience:Minimum 5 years of manufacturing operations experienceStrong understanding of production processes including liquids and dry blends preferredExperience with ERP systems such as MAPICS or AS400Experience with MES systems, preferably BatchMetrics, is a plusTechnical SkillsStrong computer and systems skillsAbility to navigate ERP and MES systems for troubleshootingUnderstanding of system integrations and shop floor technologyCore CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work cross functionally and influence without authorityHigh attention to detailAbility to operate independently in a fast paced environmentStrategic and forward thinking mindsetPosition ImpactThis role is critical to the success of MES implementation and long term operational excellence at the Erlanger site.Effective performance will reduce manual processes, improve data accuracy, increase execution efficiency, and enable scalable digital manufacturing capabilities.Excited about this role but don't think you meet every requirement listed? REF:109286BRBase pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
