Job description

Shipping & TransportationFull-Time | Wichita Compensation: Hourly with final compensation based on skills, eperience, and qualifications. (Paid weekly) Role SummaryThe Shipping & Transportation Associate supports Higgins Group by ensuring materials, components, and finished products are accurately staged, loaded, transported, and delivered to job sites and customers. This role operates primarily within the warehouse and requires safe operation of forklifts, flatbed trucks, and box trucks (16' and 24'). The position also provides support as business needs require.Core ResponsibilitiesPrepare, stage, and load materials for outbound deliveries.Verify shipments against packing lists, work orders, and delivery schedules.Secure loads properly to prevent damage during transport.Safely operate 16' and 24' trucks for local and regional deliveries.Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of company vehicles.Represent Higgins professionally at job sites and customer locations.Assist with receiving incoming materials and verifying inventory.Organize warehouse storage areas and maintain material flow.Support inventory tracking and staging for production.Support packaging, crating, and preparation of finished products.Perform general shop and warehouse tasks as assigned.Required QualificationsValid driver's license with clean driving record.Experience driving 16'–24' box trucks (no CDL required).Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical warehouse work.Strong attention to detail and organization.Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.Preferred QualificationsExperience in construction, manufacturing, or warehouse environments.Forklift experience (or willingness to be trained).Familiarity with reading work orders, shop drawings, or material lists.Employment contingent upon passing Drug Test, Physical, and E-Verify
