Astro Pak is the nation's leading precision cleaning and passivation contractor specializing in on-site cleaning of high purity gas and fluid systems, as well as precision cleaning of components and hardware at the company's Cleanroom facilities. Astro Pak provides services to over 15 sectors including: Data Centers, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Semiconductor, and other selected Industrial markets. The company, founded in 1959, has performed on-site precision chemical cleaning in every State of the Union as well as several projects in Asia, continental Europe, England, Ireland and Mexico.
Astro Pak is looking for motivated individuals who want more than a typical job. As an Associate Field Technician, you'll travel to cutting-edge facilities across the country while learning a specialized technical trade used in industries like aerospace, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, and advanced manufacturing.

What You'll Experience
This is not a typical entry-level job. It's a traveling technical career path.
You'll receive immersive training and work alongside experienced technicians performing specialized chemical cleaning and passivation on mission-critical fluid and gas systems.
Every project is different. One week you may be working at a semiconductor facility, the next supporting aerospace manufacturing.
Expect:
  • Extensive travel to project sites across the U.S.

Travel requirements:
  • 80%+ travel nationwide
  • 30-50% night shift work
  • Overtime, weekends, holidays, and short-notice travel may be required

What You'll Do
As part of a field service team, you will:
  • Set up and operate specialized equipment for chemical cleaning and passivation
  • Safely handle process chemicals such as citric acid and caustics
  • Use PPE and follow strict safety and compliance procedures
  • Load, transport, and unload project equipment and materials
  • Drive company vehicles to job sites (vans, trucks, forklifts)
  • Perform hands-on work in a variety of environments (indoors, outdoors, rooftops)
  • Maintain organized workspaces aligned with 5S/CEO standards
  • Complete OSHA and internal safety training
  • Support mission-critical customer facilities across the country

Basic Requirements
  • Valid Class C driver's license with clean driving record
  • Real ID or Passport required for air travel
  • Ability to attend two weeks of paid training in California within the first 3 weeks of employment
  • Medical DOT certificate
  • Strong math skills (ratios, percentages)
  • Comfortable using mobile technology and basic programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in PPE in changing environments
  • Willingness to work night shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays

Preferred (But Not Required)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Technical schooling or trade certification
  • OSHA / HAZWOPER / Confined Space certifications
  • Field service or hazardous chemical handling experience
