Rate: $18.42/hourly

Position Overview: CJ ENM America is seeking a highly motivated intern to join the Scripted TV department. This role is intended for candidates with a strong interest in the television industry and scripted series development, offering the opportunity to observe and participate in the early creative stages of development while working closely with executives and members of the team. The ideal candidate is currently pursuing, or has recently completed, a degree in film, media studies, English, or creative writing, and has familiarity with both U.S. and international content as well as previous television internship experience. Candidates should be hardworking self-starters who are creative and detail-oriented with a strong foundational knowledge of and passion for global television, diverse storytelling, talent, and the entertainment industry.


Responsibilities:

  • Write coverage evaluating incoming intellectual property (books, scripts, webtoons, articles, etc.) and assessing their creative and commercial potential for development executives.
  • Research potential project ideas, source material, and culturally relevant trends to support development.
  • Assist in building visual decks, talent lists, and other materials for projects in development.
  • Update master contact databases and assist with light administrative duties as needed.


Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization.
  • Fluency in Korean (reading, writing, and speaking) is not a requirement, but a plus.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills (Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Google, Dropbox, Adobe, Airtable, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
