Job Description:
We are seeking a versatile Data Analyst to build dynamic dashboards and actionable operational metrics for an Avionics Engineering organization. The role involves transforming complex data from SQL databases, Smartsheet, and Excel into meaningful visual insights using Power BI and RStudio. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, adapts quickly to changing priorities, and maintains a collaborative, positive attitude. This position also supports the integration of application components and databases across computing platforms to deliver business solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain automated dashboards and engineering reports using Power BI and RStudio with access-controlled user interfaces.
  • Connect, clean, and integrate data from manufacturing SQL databases, Smartsheet trackers, and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Define, track, and analyze key engineering metrics, including quality yields, delivery schedules, and project milestones.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to efficiently extract data from engineering data warehouses and ERP systems.
  • Automate manual reporting processes into scalable data pipelines that support engineering leadership and decision-making.
  • Build computing systems by integrating application components and databases across multiple computing platforms.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data, summarize findings, and develop recommendations.
  • Experience performing advanced data analysis, selecting appropriate algorithms, creating descriptive statistics and mathematical models, and interpreting analytical results.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, RStudio, SQL, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Excel (including Power Query and DAX).
  • Experience with at least one programming language such as C++, Java, or Python.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, data warehousing, and data cleansing techniques.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing production schedules, priorities, and project requirements.
  • Self-starter with a strong focus on delivering quality results while continuously improving processes.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
