Job description

Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Analyst (AI Training) About the Role We're partnering with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, more reliable AI systems - and we need practitioners who know how GRC actually works in the real world. If you've spent time inside compliance programs, risk frameworks, or security audits, your expertise is exactly what's needed to train the next generation of AI. This isn't a typical compliance role. You'll be using your domain knowledge to evaluate, validate, and improve how AI reasons about security policies, risk controls, and regulatory frameworks - work that directly shapes AI capabilities in one of the fastest-moving fields in tech.
  • Organization : Alignerr
  • Type : Hourly Contract
  • Location : Remote
  • Commitment : 10-40 hours/week
What You'll Do
  • Review and analyze security policies, control frameworks, and compliance procedures for accuracy and completeness
  • Evaluate real-world compliance scenarios involving frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, and similar standards
  • Assess risk statements, control mappings, and audit documentation
  • Generate and validate high-quality training and evaluation data for AI systems
  • Provide structured, precise written reasoning on GRC topics
  • Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in GRC, compliance, or risk management
  • Familiar with one or more major frameworks - SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, PCI-DSS, or similar
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting policy documents, audit reports, and control documentation
  • Detail-oriented with strong written communication skills
  • Able to work independently and deliver consistent, high-quality output
Nice to Have
  • Experience with data annotation, data quality review, or AI evaluation workflows
  • Background in information security, internal audit, or third-party risk management
  • Familiarity with GRC tooling or policy management platforms
Why Join Us
  • Work directly on frontier AI systems with top research labs
  • Fully remote and flexible - work on your own schedule
  • Freelance autonomy with meaningful, intellectually engaging work
  • Contribute to AI that reasons more accurately about security and compliance
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
