Position Overview
The Outreach Team is seeking a skilled Legal Associate to join our team. This is a flexible, hourly position ideal for a paralegal-level professional who can provide legal support services including contract drafting, contract review, and legal research. The Legal Associate will work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating with team members to ensure smooth operations and legal compliance.
We are seeking candidates that can work part-time on an as-needed, hourly basis with flexible scheduling.

Important Note: This role involves legal support functions only. The Legal Associate will not provide legal advice, legal opinions, or represent the organization in legal matters. Complex legal questions will be escalated to licensed attorneys.

- Contract Drafting: Prepare and draft various types of contracts, agreements, and legal documents based on provided templates and guidelines
- Contract Review: Review incoming contracts from third parties, identify key terms and potential issues, and propose specific language changes or amendments
- Legal Research: Conduct straightforward legal research on relevant topics and statutes regulations.
- Document Management: Organize, maintain, and track legal documents and contracts in an orderly system
- Administrative Support: Provide general legal administrative support to the team, including correspondence, filing, and documentation
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members regarding contract status, findings, and recommendations

Qualifications
Required
- Paralegal certificate, associate degree in paralegal studies, or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a legal support role (paralegal, legal assistant, or similar)
- Strong understanding of contract principles and legal terminology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable internet connection and appropriate workspace for remote work
- Experience working in remote/flexible work arrangements
