Huckeye Health Recovery Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in Silver Spring, Maryland. Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing for a flexible work setting that can be tailored to your needs. While we operate from Silver Spring, MD, our team is dispersed, promoting a diverse and inclusive culture. The scheduled workdays are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing a stable routine that most professionals desire. Our team is tightly-knit, dedicated, and supports one another in providing exceptional mental health services.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Huckeye Health Recovery Center, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to diagnose clients and develop personalized treatment plans based on their individual needs.
  • Maintain a caseload of 25-30 clients per week, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities for both individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service by fostering a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring ongoing communication with clients regarding their treatment progress.
  • Utilize creativity in therapeutic interventions to help clients meet and exceed their health goals, collaborating closely with other team members.
  • Document each session meticulously according to company protocols, including treatment plan reviews and clinical case notes.
  • Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including case managers, medical personnel, and educational representatives, to provide holistic support for clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele includes a diverse range of individuals, couples, and families seeking support for various mental health issues. You will work closely with children, adolescents, and adults, addressing challenges like relationship struggles, trauma, anxiety, depression, and addiction. Your therapeutic approach will play a crucial role in helping clients regain a sense of balance, resilience, and hope.

Qualifications

The following qualifications are necessary for the role:

  • A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
  • Current and active LMFT licensure in the state of Maryland.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of family therapy services and community resources available for client support.
  • Experience in mental health documentation, including completing Diagnostic Assessments (DAs), treatment plans, and clinical case notes.
  • Prior experience working with children, adolescents, couples, and families is highly desired.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to foster effective therapeutic relationships.
  • Ability to maintain healthy boundaries while showing genuine empathy towards clients.
  • Commitment to working with a diverse population, showing cultural competence, and understanding varied backgrounds.
  • Must successfully pass a background check.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in the following areas will be given preference:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Telehealth practices and related technologies.
  • Experience coordinating with referral networks and community resources for comprehensive patient care.
  • Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation procedures.
  • Prior experience with fee collection processes and insurance claims.
