**Cath Lab Tech Position Requirements:** - **Experience:** Minimum of 1 year required, with competency in all aspects of Cath Lab Diagnostics and Intervention including Structural procedures. - **Certifications:** ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) through the American Heart Association required. - **Skills:** Proficiency in a range of Cath Lab procedures, including Diagnostic Cardiac Cath lab, Interventional Cardiac Cath lab, Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations Adult, IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) Placement/Removal, interpretation of dysrhythmias, Left heart catheterization, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), PTCA (Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty), scrub procedures, equipment setup, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, room circulator, maintaining sterile field, and infection precautions. - **Licensure:** Must have an active WV license in hand to start the assignment, ARRT registration. Pending licenses are accepted for submission but must be resolved before starting. - **Geography:** Candidates must have a permanent address 100 miles from the facility. Candidates residing between 75-100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis. - **Charting System Experience:** Required experience with any charting system; Cerner experience is noted. - **On-Call Requirements:** Yes. Must respond within 30 minutes during on-call shifts. - **Weekend Requirements:** Call only, rotating between AM and PM. - **References:** Minimum of two Manager or Charge Nurse references from the past 2 years required. - **Additional Requirements:** Must not have been a permanent employee within the past two years to qualify as a traveler. Current employees of Vandalia Health System are not eligible for travel contracts within their system. **Note:** The position does not accept first-timer applicants. **Special Note:** West Virginia does not consider RCIS certification as licensed to work in the Cath Lab.
