Join Our Team as an Precision Maintenance Tech – Magnolia, MS

Are you a highly skilled Precision Maintenance Tech who would welcome an opportunity to be home everyday while earning top wages? Weyerhaeuser’s Wood Products manufacturing facility in Magnolia, MS is seeking top-tier talent to help maintain and optimize our high-tech equipment and operations. If you’re driven, experienced, and ready to contribute from day one, we want to hear from you.

Pay Rate: $46.00 per hour

This role offers a $1,000.00 hiring bonus!

The first $500.00 installment will be paid after 90 days of successful employment with Weyerhaeuser, and another $500.00 installment at 6 months.

We are looking for individuals with advanced skills in machinery installation, alignment, troubleshooting, and maintenance. This level builds on foundational competencies and requires mastery of precision measurement, complex alignment techniques, and advanced mechanical systems.

Qualifications:

Education & Training

High School Diploma or GED is required.

• Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship program or equivalent industrial training.

• NCCER Level 4 curriculum or equivalent program.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Blueprint & schematic reading for complex industrial equipment.

• Precision measuring tools (micrometers, dial indicators, laser alignment systems).

• Advanced alignment techniques (prealignment, shim fabrication, dial indicator alignment).

• Fabrication & repair of machine parts, including welding, grinding, and turning.

• Hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems knowledge (pumps, compressors, couplings, bearings, seals).

Vibration analysis and troubleshooting of rotating equipment.

• Rigging & hoisting for heavy machinery installation and maintenance.

Experience

10+ years in a millwright or industrial maintenance role.

• Experience with precision alignment and preventive maintenance of large-scale machinery.

• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems and their repair.

• Industrial machinist experience and/or precision mechanical rebuild experience.

Soft Skills

Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and assembly.

• Problem-solving and troubleshooting of complex mechanical issues.

• Time management and ability to work independently or in teams.

• Communication skills for safety and technical coordination.

• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or on-call.

Certifications & Compliance

Knowledge of MSHA or other industry-specific regulations if applicable.

• Ability to follow and enforce safety and quality procedures.

Summary

Precision Millwrights must combine advanced technical expertise in machinery alignment, fabrication, and system maintenance with strong safety and organizational skills. They are expected to operate at the highest precision in industrial settings, ensuring machinery performance, safety, and efficiency. Prior experience in power plants, heavy manufacturing, or large-scale industrial facilities is required.
