Job description

Harvey Nash USA has been engaged to find a talented Project Manager – Construction & Infrastructure Projects for a 18-month contract (With possible extensions) opportunity with one of the largest Utility companies.


Location: Pomona, CA (Hybrid 2 days/week in office)

Duration: 18 Months (Potential Extension & Conversion to Full-Time)


Overview

We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of large-scale construction and infrastructure projects. This role requires strong project management, stakeholder communication, and construction coordination skills to ensure projects are delivered on scope, budget, and schedule. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, contractors, engineering groups, and external customers while managing multiple concurrent projects.


Must Have

  • 1–3+ years of Project Management experience supporting construction, infrastructure, utility, engineering, or capital projects.
  • Experience managing project scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables.
  • Construction project management experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience facilitating project and construction meetings with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project tracking tools.


Nice to Have

  • Project Management certification (PMP, CAPM, or equivalent).
  • Utility, energy, power, engineering, or infrastructure project experience.
  • Experience working with contractors, engineering teams, and external customers.
  • Knowledge of project controls, risk management, and capital project delivery processes.
  • Experience managing projects valued at several million dollars.
  • Familiarity with permitting, construction oversight, and utility infrastructure projects.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of 20+ concurrent infrastructure and construction projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered according to approved scope, schedule, budget, and customer commitments.
  • Coordinate activities among engineering, construction, operations, contractors, and external stakeholders.
  • Lead project status meetings and construction coordination meetings.
  • Monitor project schedules, milestones, risks, and deliverables.
  • Track project budgets and support financial forecasting activities.
  • Identify project issues and risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Maintain project documentation, reports, and stakeholder communications.
  • Provide regular project updates to management, customers, and project teams.
  • Support project execution from initiation through construction and closeout.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, contractors, and customers.


Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).


A reasonable, good faith hourly wage for this position is $65-68 Hourly on W2.
